“Los Arcos & Majahuitas Snorkel”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

The best snorkel trip ever. It was a small boat and group, only 7 guests and 2 crew. The crew, Adrian and Hector were friendly, entertaining and very knowledgeable about the area. We stopped at 2 sites and the snorkeling was fantastic and water was clear and warm. Once back on the boat Adrian brought out Ham and Cheese sandwiches and cold water. Simple but delicious and just right after a swim. I would recommend this type of small excursion for serious snorkelers and leave the party boats for the Spring Breakers. I would definitely recommend taking the trip with Adrian and Hector. Thanks again Adrian and Hector for the scuba experience and making us feel like familia. Hope to see you guys again real soon.

“Unbelievable service and trip (dive and snorkel)”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

A friend and I decided to take a diving and snorkeling tour with Eco Explorer, as scheduled by our resort tour guides. We left our nuevo marina in a boat with 3 other divers and arrived at the Eco location. It was a rainy type day, and others did not show up for the adventure. I was concerned that I was the only snorkeler and the other 4 were divers. I did not voice any concerns, was fitted well with excellent equipment and ready for the boat trip to the site. The water was a bit rough since it had rained and was windy. To our surprise, we were loaded on a boat with Ruben, a diving coach, and Lisandro, a free diver, for snorkeling. We laughed to our own tagging as high risk older women, but were delighted to have a one on one coach and a boat driver. Lisandro was the smartest, most eco conscious and knowledgeable guide ever. He dove (free with snorkel only) to depths of 10-20 ft. to ocean floor pointing out various species of oceanic life. Then he'd explain what the creature was and its' purpose, ecologically to the marine environment. He named fish and we approached a white pelican on a nearby coastline rock. He explained that they whiten as they age (grey hair, eh?) and most are blind in old age and this was an old one who was quite friendly. There were pieces of broken wooden boats on the ocean floor in one spot, and Lisandro brought them to the surface and loaded them on the boat, doing his part to help clean the environment. We were scheduled for a 2 tank dive for my friend, and decided to quit after one tank since the weather was not pleasant and we were cold and wet. On the way back, dolphins were very close to the boat, and the guides circled the family of dolphins and gave them a ride in our wake. We took pictures and videos of them diving and swimming and flirting with our boat. It was marvelous. They spent more than an hour chasing the dolphins for our pleasure and the dolphin show. It was an amazing experience. We highly recommend this smaller company that competes with larger adventure companies. I can't say enough thanks for the individual attention and have enriched my life with this experience.
