“Great experience, until your credit card is stolen”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

My husband and I spent one week in Puerto Vallarta in May 2013 and decided to try zip lining for the first time. The 2:1 price also seemed like a great deal. Zip lining itself was wonderful! The staff were informative, friendly, and full of personality. The scenery is beautiful and after completing the 10 lines, your group has extra time to hang out, eat at their restaurant, and sit through the mandatory tequila tasting. We were interested in purchasing three bottles and handed our credit card to staff to be used.

Upon returning home, we learned that there were thousands of dollars of fraudulent charges on our credit card. The day we zip lined was the only instance in Mexico where our credit card left our possession.

While our bank was able to correct this problem quickly, it is still an annoyance that shouldn't occur in the first place. I read another review with this same problem as well. This company rethink their business practices. I will surely be advising friends and family never to use this company.

“Don't Miss It-- but be ready to sweat!”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

We purchased our tickets at a discount (got sucked into the time-share thing, but it worked out nicely overall). The bus picked us up at a gas station down the road from our hotel, and we drove about 20-30 minutes to the zip lining site. The drive was very scenic, and a bit scary at times because you're winding through the mountains, but that's probably because we aren't used to driving in Mexico. We arrived and were given a briefing on safety and how to use the equipment. The first 3 or 4 zip lines were pretty short and slow, so great for practice and getting your bearings. After that, the zip lines are fun and some are very high over the river/mountains/jungle, which is awesome. The hike to each zip line was exhausting, but I'll credit that to my being out of shape. (You zig-zag up the mountain, zip lining across or over on the way, til you reach the top and you zip-line down. You don't start at the top and work your way down) There was a point where I just had to stop and rest because I was feeling nauseous (again, out of shape) and Martin, one of the guides, was EXTREMELY patient and nice. He made me feel very comfortable and he and Victor did a GREAT job throughout. There was a camera man as well, although I don't remember his name, he was very nice and took great pictures and videos. We purchased the CD of pictures for $45, and it was well worth it!! (How else would you get pictures of yourself on a zip line? You certainly can't carry a camera!)
The tequila tasting was interesting, and we didn't feel pressured to buy. They encouraged us to stay and dine at the restaurant, swim in the river, etc, but we had other obligations so they took us back to our hotel.
Bring some cash, because they charge a 10% fee for credit card purchases, and you'll want to tip your guides. We tipped $30, which was generous but not overboard in the least. I'd say be prepared to tip $10-$15/person. That may sound like a lot, but once you go and see everything they do for you and how much fun you have, it's more than worth it. Go!!!
