Yesterday we were a family party of 8 to eat at Ocean Grill. Their boat took us 20 minutes late (about 1.20 PM) because there were too many people on the first boat and a 2nd trip was needed, but that's understandable. What is not understandable and what is completely unacceptable is that the waiter was under so much pressure from the owner to clear the tables for the 3pm sitting that, almost as soon as we were seated and had received the menus we were pressured into ordering so that the table could be cleared asap. "You have to order now or you will have to leave before you finish….. We need your table at 3pm!". We said not yet we needed a little more time, but were asked again quite rudely with a minute or two - 2 times more - order now or you'll have to leave before finishing. I complained to the owner. His first reaction was not to apologize but to defend the fact that the table was needed at 3pm. In the end he did apologize. I don't blame the waiter, it's the owner who should train his staff to better respect customers in such a service minded industry. In thend he did apologize. We went to the restaurant to have a nice relaxing time with the family, but being pressured like we were took away much of the enjoyment. Disappointing!
