This is definitely worth visiting. Plenty of benches to relax, you get to see all of the various shops, restaurants, and interesting statues. Excellent for people-watching.

I love the Melacon walking in the area in the evening. Seating at a restaurant having a drink or supper or-looking at the beautiful sunset is great. Seeing so many different people from many parts of the world is interesting.

It s hard to find a dislike.

Haven't been to PV since 2006 so this was our first visit to the expanded Malecon. It is great that you can go all the way from the Rosita to Old Town. Gone are the days where you had to walk through the streets and over the bridge along with all the cars and smelly buses, or as an alternative wade through the Cuale River. A very pleasant walk on a Saturday evening when the Malecon is packed with locals and tourists alike.

The malecon is the central boardwalk of town. Now the northern part of the boardwalk is closed off to traffic. The locals flock to this area as well the usual tourist. There are many great things to see and do. Every week some of the locals build sand sculptures which are totally cool. This is a very safe part of town many police officers patrol the area so it is ok to relax a little. Every Friday there some people that perform a show on a high pole with ropes that is very impressive. Looking for that cool bar, you'll find here. People watching sceneryis world class. I would highly recommend visiting this area, you will find it to be worth your time.
