For some reason Kabuki has two listings here on tripadvisor, but it is the same resturant. I have lived in Puerto Vallarta for 4 years now. For work I travel extensively, I love sushi and try it everywhere. Kabuki is as good as it gets! It matches the great sushi resturants to be found in Vancouver as well as all along the west coast of the US. It is always fresh, expertly seasoned, and served by an exceptional staff! Fernando (the owner) is their most nights himself to make sure that everything is to your licking. Don't miss this gem of a resturant during your stay in PV. When traveling eleswhere I can't wait to get back to PV for a night of great sushi at Kabuki's!

A great restaurant in every way, wonderful staff, very accommodating. I'm a vegetarian, and they gladly changed a dish to suit my tastes. That's a big thing, as a lot of places will not do that. It shows that the food is fresh and made on the spot. I loved the whole vibe, entertainment by Chris Kenny was top notch, a beautiful blues, jazz, and even a little country singer with an awesome band.
It felt like real Mexico, lots of people roaming around, and having an experience !

Took a chance when dining alone and opted for Sushi - was not sure if I wanted 8 pieces of the Spicy Tuna rolls and the lovely staff immediately said we'll do a 1/2 order.

Of course I then had the other 1/2 - the sushi was fresh and fantastic - topped off with dessert of tempura banana drizzeled in chocolate with strawberry icecream - HOLA.
It was ladies night and drinks were on the house.

The streetside cafe is a great location right downtown where you can watch all the action.

Attention to detail with the carved log wood sink, down to the little baskets with a hot towel and wooden block coasters for your drinks was not unnoticed - very warm, new, chic.

The staff were warm, inviting and very attentive - couldn't ask for more.

The owner - we'll let's just say - Muy Caliente!!!

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. They have a "secret" soy sauce with cilantro and lime that is amazing, sounds weird tastes great:) The tomato roll isn't what you think it's amazing. Hard to go wrong here. Try the cucumber martini. . .very refreshing. Amazing staff highly recommend these guys!

We had the best rolls I have ever had at Kabuki last night. Started with the Chicken Yakitori, followed by the Tuni Roll and an excellent California roll. They serve with a "special sauce" which is amazing. I am normally a sashimi fan but was with someone who is not. The Tuni roll had a nice layer of fresh Ahi tuna on the top which may help to convert my friend! Live music was also enjoyed...certainly recommend this for an evening out.
