We enjoyed our time in Puerto Vallarta along with our stay at Ibiza 2. It is a quaint updated condo suitable for two people. The kitchen is fully equipped which was a bonus and there was washer and dryer. We could walk out our door to the patio that overlooked the ocean. Newer patio chairs for lounging were all fairly new. You can see the nightly fireworks from the patio. The L shaped pool is clean and adequate for a dip anytime of day. The property is well managed and the seasonal renters seem to be responsible adults all over the age of 55.

As Ibiza is nessilled into the mountain side, we learned lots of interesting ways to wander down to Los Muertos Beach on the Malecon. Going up and down the cobblestone roads and taking stair cases that take you down to the next street, provides excerise along with a site seeing journey. Try the trail near the condo building that takes you to the top of the mountain to the lookout of the entire bay. Bring good running shoes. We also took the city bus to Bucerias, LA Cruz and Boca We caught the water taxi from Boca to Yelapa. Bus fare is cheap. Quite the ride!

We did try several restaurants that the owner suggested. Chez Elena, which is in the neighborhood and provides a great dinner at a reasonable price. The rooftop is a great place to sit to watch the sun go down with a beverage in hand. There's an abundance of places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lots of evenings we went down to the Malecon for a walkabout and to take in evening entertainment.
We enjoyed what the area had to offer.

“Just another day in Paradise”

Excellent condo. All the other detailed reviews summarize what I would say about it, which is nothing bad, only good. I would add that it is very well furnished with all the utensils necessary for cooking & dining. The availability of bottled water just outside your door is most convenient rather than treking to Leys (large grocery) or a corner drugstore & hauling it back. Also, the simple water container inside the fridge is an overlooked attraction. I could not find reception for regular TV, but after discovering the free movie site (Exodus), we were in heaven & could care less about news & sports. The location of Rob's unit should not be overlooked or undervalued -- ground floor, step outside, there's the pool. We had morning coffee & sunset drinks atop the building with a nice view of Banderas Bay (except for the unsightly La Siesta Hotel). Stairs & Steps -- yes, that's the only downside, but, in fairness, if you want to be away from the Malecon nightlife music (which goes on til 5AM) then this is a quiet reprieve (you get used to a few barking dogs after awhile). And if you think those steps are tough, try walking up to The Cross & Observatory. It takes 5 minutes to walk DOWN to the Malecon (via "Si Senor"), & another 5 - 7 minutes to Leys. If you're getting a week or more of food supplies then take a cab ($50P), otherwise my wife sewed together a large heavy double cloth carrying bag with shoulder straps that easily carried our foodstuffs. We stayed 3 weeks, the weather was perfect, a cool breeze was always coming down hillside into the backside of the condo & through the front (leave your doors open). We made several good friends from people in the other units. Everyone was most friendly. A most memorable stay. Had my wife not encountered a knee injury prior to coming to PV we'd gladly return.

“Delightful condo for a wonderful month-long stay”

This one bedroom one bathroom condominium on the first floor of a 6 unit building was delightful for the two of us. The furnishings are attractive and fresh, not tired and worn out. The on-site maintenance man and property manager promptly took care of some problems we encountered during the first few days. The owner was also very responsive to questions and addressed all of our emails in a timely manner. He addressed our concern about lack of English language television by quickly supplying us with a special device to stream TV and movies. The condo has everything you need for a long-term stay and is located close to the grocery store, great restaurants and city bus lines. There is no dishwasher nor air conditioning, but neither of these items posed any concern for us. The cross ventilation was sufficient to keep the condo cool thanks to the awesome quiet ceiling fans that did not rattle while we were trying to sleep and the low humidity and cooler night time temps in February! There is also a very nice pool for dips to cool off right outside your door, and a beautiful pool deck for relaxing and watching the spectacular sunsets. The internet service was very good. The rental also included weekly maid service done by a very good and honest woman.

One thing renters should be aware of is that the location of this building is on a steep hillside and requires good knees and hips to climb the steps and steep, uneven terrain when returning. However, taxis are very affordable (50 pesos within town) and we used them when the climb would have been prohibitive, such as with a load of groceries.

Thank you for posting a review, however, I am disappointed that you did not advise us of the problem with construction noise. We did not know that there was going to be construction until just before you arrived. I have been advised by others in our condo building that the works started at 9-9:30 am and finished by 4:30 pm, during which time you were usually out.

As per our listing, our condo overlooks the bay which is surrounded by hills that form part of the Sierra Madre mountains. Unfortunately, most old town properties that have a bay view require a walk up a hill. Once in our condo you have views of the bay from the pool deck, palapa and roof top patio.

We agree with most comments listed. The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the real PV. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of being centrally located, walking distance to the Malecon and many great restaurants. The view is spectacular and Francisco was around the condo each day to assist us. We always rent a condo and my husband, the chef, could not get over how well appointed the kitchen was. It is up a steep hill, so bring good walking shoes, and some air conditioning might have been nice for sleeping, but hey, it's Mexico in late June, so no surprises. Overall, a great place to stay and we will b back.
