Almost exclusively an all inclusive for Mexican tourists, this experience was a bit above average, but just a bit. You get what you pay for and this was good deal. As mentioned, it was 99% Mexican (and their kids); for us, not a problem since we speak Spanish. The hotel staff was what made this place, particularly Alejandro at the front desk, and Rigo, the bartender. No beachfront view made it a bit isolated. Not really the place for couples, but overall a good experience.

We travelled there the week of April 9th. Hotel was o.k. The beach was at the partner hotel across the parking lot. Beach is not the greatest .There was hundreds of jelly fish..no one swam the whole week. Mexicans celebrated easter a week before us, and they travel from surrounding towns to hotels. So bus loads of mexicans were at our hotel. From friday to monday. Very crowded. Dining room was not able to hold all these people. So they put tables and chairs around the pool area at lunch and dinner. Only a few choices for lunch and dinner. But the burgers were excellent at the pool snack bar. We went to the boardwalk at night..very nice by the ocean, alot of bar restaurants and little shops.

Great staff and wonderful pools make Pelicanos Beach Resort a great vacation destination. I love it for it's smaller size and more personal service. Larger hotels are impersonal. Pelicanos staff know you by name and most important, your drink order! Highly recommended!!

Thanks! Great Vacation! See you in 2014.

Room Tip: Main floor rooms are the only ones with a patio. The rooms are non-smoking, so if you smoke, a main floor room is a must.

Bathtubs should be lower so that senior citizens can get in and out of them
easier. There should be a certain time when there should be quietness in
the hotel because we could here people (children, and adults) at 3&4 in the
morning!

Nice beds and not bad for the price.
Both swimming pools a bit too small , access to the beach area too small but then again ... You can only get so much for the money. Overall it wasn't too bad. Adrian, bell person ; always very polite and helpfull
