If you are looking for an excellent resort in Puerto Vallarta, you should seriously consider staying here. The service was outstanding! All of the staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean and the bed couldn't have been more comfortable. The food was amazing. I think I gained 10 pounds! There was nothing about this resort that I didn't love. We travel abroad every year and this resort did not disappoint us. Axel, Caro, Mitch, Mawdeen, and Daua were the entertainment crew and they were exceptional. Our poolside waiter was Francisco and he was very attentive. We would definitely return to this resort!

Room Tip: All of the rooms have a great view.

We loved the place. Rooms, common areas, and pools were all very nice. Food at restaurants was also very tasty. One of the best beach resort stays that we've had. The city is beautiful, too. Mountains and beach! Fernando really helped us out when we arrived. And Jairo down at the beach took us on our kayak session. Everyone here is very friendly. And one of our party said the spa was one of the best

Just returned from Secrets. This is our second time at this resort. We found it to generally be the same as two years ago. The things that were good we still fine, and the few things that needed attention--still could use some work.

First to let you know, to get to the hotel it is a $15 taxi ride for two. No need to wait on those buses that seem to take forever to leave the airport. Check in was easy and as many say the rooms are large and comfortable.

There are many pools at this resort and none of them were that crowded. We asked and they said the occupancy was around 50 to 60 percent full. This makes it nice for the vacationer since there is no fighting for chairs. In fact, most people did not even arrive at the pool until around 9:30.

One of the nice things at the resort is there are NOT a lot of day pass people there. We were there over their independence holiday. At some resorts, the locals come for partying and take over the pool bar and public areas. This did not occur at this resort. Plenty of bar waiters at the pool area who got upset if you did not let them get you drinks.

One of our complaints however was the service at the lobby bar. Very slow and in fact they act like they do not want to wait on you. We go to many Secrets and we have to say that this bar is the most "cold" feeling that we encounter. That needs worked on.

The waiters in the Market Café for breakfast and lunch are great. I would like to recommend Antonio from the Market Café. If you are going, just as the hostess that you would like him for a waiter. Also, at the Oceana restaurant, we were served by a quiet, young man who did a wonderful job. Rodolfo.

If you are looking for a lot of night life--probably this is not the place to be. They do have shows that start no earlier than 9:15, so if you have had some cocktails at the bar and at dinner--it might be lights out early for you.

All rooms face the ocean. Of course, the higher you are the better the view. We were a little concerned about the weather before we left. It was to rain everyday 80%. We only had one day of rain--which stopped in late morning--during the day. Most of the rain was in the evening so if you wanted sun--no problem.

This resort is not spread out and is handicapped accessible. If you want to be treated to a nice relaxing vacation, book it. You won't regret it.

Having just returned from secrets after a two week visit. Firstly I must congratulate the staff they are probably the most attentive bunch I have had the pleasure to meet The food is good but could be better ,after the first week we thought the menu would be changed but alas no the same menu same restaurant becomes a bit boring.Pool area is good but one criticism the main pool is not the place to eat, drink and even smoke while you're in the pool it became quite annoying. The staff in the restaurants have an annoying habit of removing your plate as soon as you have finished eating when your partner is still eating.we experienced several times the main course was brought out to the table while still finishing the starter. If anyone is thinking about booking any trips out try Vallarta Aventures only one thing about booking trips that the holiday companies don't tell you is that you have to make you own way to and from the pick up points depending where your staying could prove expensive, coaches aren't allowed to collect from the hotel, dispute with the taxis who have the monopoly on this.As advertised in all the brochures guests in the now Amber side can't use the facilities (restaurants) in the secrets side this doesn't happen as there is now way of distinguishing who is staying where. Overall an enjoyable stay and a thank to all the staff

Room Tip: The higher the better, all have sea views so don't pay extra the rooms in the secrets side are quite as its adult only

Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a two week holiday at this hotel. I cannot say enough good words about this resort! The staff couldn't do enough for you, so friendly and genuinely nice people. The resort is stunning, well kept, clean and has the most amazing sea view. The restaurants were lovely in particular the French and Italian (staff again were excellent). Around the pool during the day was so relaxing and the bartenders and waiters were very good at offering/bringing you cocktails/drinks. We only went to one show but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The pools/jacuzzi are open to late to :) we had a jacuzzi suite and I definitely recommend it if you a visiting this hotel. Rooms were right near the pool area and you get free room service/butler service 24 hours a day! On our last night we were given a free bottle of champagne that was set out facing the sunset (a little surprise from the hotel) we really enjoyed this holiday and we 100% recommend this beautiful hotel. It's very close to the airport, close to all of the excursion offices and 10 minute taxi ride to the shopping mall!

Thanks again Secrets! We will be back very soon :)
