Went on a fantastic holiday to purto vallarta , dont get me wrong we ate well at the hotel and restaurants , but nothing compared to our pie experience at the Leek and Thistle . What a find! The tastiest pies you will ever bite into , the fillings are top class and the pastry is divine . I got chatting to the tall and handsome (in a ruggid kind of way) young scottish entrepeneur who founded the business , great guy . He told me that his culinary inspiration came from some of the great chefs of our time ; Roux , Blanc , Rhodes , Aunt Bessie (hehe he s got a great sense of humour) , also a profound influence is 2 young men he went to catering college with , who taught him a few tricks ! Well the proof is in the pudding excuse the pun , and all i will say is PLEAAAASE go and sample them for yourself , i promise you wont regret it . Gourmet food at fab prices . mmmmn hope they open one here in lancaster one day . ya never know !
