My husband and I had heard great things about this taco stand, and we found them 4 years ago. They are a cross between a street stand and a restaurant. They are located near theBuenaventura/Villa Premiere hotels in El centro. The Pemex gas station is on the corner, and head west on Honduras street, they are on the right hand side. It opens around 8 pm, and you cannot miss the vertical charcoal grill with the huge piece of spiced pork topped with a pineapple. The cook is an artist the way he spins the meat to be cooked by the fire, slices off each order and flings the meat onto the warmed tortilla topped by a flung piece of charred, juicy pineapple...OMG heaven in PV! The salsa offerings are great as well. We are not normal gringos, and the red salsa is muy picante...soooo good.
We had them last night, and their cost was 10 pesos each...FYI, they use the small size tortillas around 4 ". We each had 4 tacos that cost us 80 pesos, around 6.50 US. The stand is clean, and always has locals munching away on their food. If you are looking or the BEST taco in PV,don't
miss this Taco stand! And the fact that it is dirt cheap is a bonus!
