“2 for 2: Undercooked pasta both times”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

This is actually a cute little Italian restaurant. They claim to specialize in fresh pasta, but they certainly don't know how to cook it! Two times now, two meals each time, and consistently undercooked pasta... almost as though it wasn't even boiled! In fairness, their sauces are absolutely delicious, the service is adequate, and the prices are quite fair. But they charge 20 pesos for fresh pasta, and - for us anyway - it went way beyond an 'al dente' situation. This pasta verged on completely uncooked. Surprisingly, I am actually willing to try the place again, but definitely won't pay more for their fresh option.

“What a nice surprise!”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

We happened to stumble upon this place, as we were looking for somewhere to eat on Basillio Badillo (restaurant row).

It's an Italian place, nothing fancy, but lots of people - even at 8pm. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced.

Stop by when you're in Puerto Vallarta, you'll enjoy the food and ambiance.

“Great Italian food”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

My wife and I and about 40 of our closest friends from the International Friendship Club all went to Boccon di Vino on 22 February and totally swamped the staff with our numbers.
However, the staff did an excellent job of looking after us all and although they were almost overwhelmed they handled the situation with efficiency and good humour.
The seven people on our table were all very happy with the complimentary warm bread, the food and the drinks. The price was good value. Two main courses and three glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon cost us $500pesos.
My wife and I plan to return soon with just a couple of friends and enjoy another, but quieter, excellent Italian experience.
We are so lucky to have so many outstanding restaurants in PV.

“Best Italian food in PV”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

We found the place after hearing recommendations from many others. The service was very attentive and food outstanding. Home-made bread excellent. We did not know about the fresh pasta option for an additional 20 pesos but the pasta we received was delicious so do not know if we will opt for the other at our next visit. I had the pasta with clams and there were almost 2 dozen all open and well done. My husband had an eggplant/pasta dish he raved about. Plan on another visit with friends and will make reservations requesting the garden room. After 9 years of spending winters in PV we are go glad we happened upon this gem

“Valentine's Day Delight”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We were looking for someplace close to our hotel and this place had been recommended. We were able to get in without a reservation, although if you wish to sit in the garden, it is best to make a reservation. Starter was fried polenta and mushrooms in a white wine sauce, exceptionally good. Lasagna was very good and nice portion. Gnocci in gorgonzola sauce was very good also; gnocci were very light. If we are looking for Italian when in PVR, we may go back, or more likely try some of the other Italian places.
