This is our go to place always for bucket of Coronas,Guacamole with chips and people watching!!! The owner is great he knows us and maybe that is why we always get great service!!!! Watch out for the giant Sangria it will take you under. We love how the place is set up in the sand with palapas. The service is good!! We have had burritos, tacos, you name it and all has been good. Weather staying in Purerto Vallarta or coming into port on a cruise, we always come here!!!

“Poor service, Mediocre food”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

We wanted a quick lunch with a scenic view....which we barely got! The street host was charming and attentive.....our server was not. We went in for 2 for 1 drinks. When we asked the server if the margaritas were included in the special, he said yes. So we order 2 drinks for 4 people. He had combined the margaritas so each person had 2 drinks, which meant that 4 arrived. Whatever - I am sure we would have ordered a second round anyway. ONE HOUR later our food arrived. The restaurant was less than half full so they were by no means busy and Mexican food doesn't not take long to prepare. This would have been fine except that we had somewhere to be, 5 minutes before our food arrived.
The food was okay - I had a quesdilla and some tacos. Nothing special.
Then the bill came, there were extra items added and it was added wrong. Ridiculous.

If you want to go have some drinks on the beach in Mexico, I would recommend this place...just make sure you have time to spare. Also should mention that the beach vendors come right up to your table to sell goods (we were almost seated in the restaurant) which is annoying!

“Slow and Average. Also bad at math.”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

Went in as it looked like a quick and easy authentic Mexican lunch.

What we got was a nonexistent server, Happy Hour "2 for 1" margaritas that come in a single glass (it's a half-price large Margarita when you get right down to it, but sketchy advertising), and average, greasy food.

The sign in front says "We Dare you to come in", and our entire group was regretting taking them up on that.

Learn how to open a beer bottle with the end of a fork, they probably won't leave a bottle opener and aren't around to be asked for one.

When all was said and done there were extra charges on our bill, prices which differed from the menu, and after we paid the full amount owed, we were chased down the street to go over the bill again.

Pretty awful.

“Now just one of many”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

This used to be the place you had to go and have a bucket of beers and a little something to eat. Once they reel you in they could not care less. The friendly, attentive service and icy buckets is a thing of the past. They throw a few chucks of ice in with the beers. When I asked for the waiter to put water in with the ice he gave the impression it was a lot of trouble. But he did it anyway by putting more ice chunks with a cup of water. The mild Pico-de-gallo requested came out too hot to eat for most of us. Shop along the beach for at least a nicer staff.

“A nice place”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

This restaurant right on the beach has am awesome location. We arrived just before sunset and enjoyed a table right on the beach. We opted for the red snapper special for 2 which included 3 bottled beers. The food was very good. Since it started storming, we stuck around for the happy hour. Never like the fact that happy hour drinks are smaller than regular menu drinks, although advertised as the same price...in other words....regular price 60 Pesos, happy hour 2 for 1...size of glass for happy hour drink small compared to a regular drink. Definitely a 4 rating for everything else!
