we decided to give them another try as the owner suggested and we were impressed. Ribs (hot) and fall off the bone. Service was much, much better than our previous visit. We'll be back.

I want to thank you so much for giving us another try. The recipe for the ribs has been perfected over the last 20 years. If you ever have any issues please do not hesitate to ask for the manager on duty.

“Short walk from Hotel Zone is worth it.”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

We went here due to the VIP card discount. I would recommend it even if you don't get a discount card. It is located a few blocks walk from the hotel zone. We took a cab to get there (we were shopping downtown) but after dinner we walked back to our hotel in the dark and felt completely safe. It is decorated in a "touristy" style that is festive and fun. Hey, we are on vacation in Mexico so why not?
The food was very good and although most items appeared to be what we Americans may call typical Mexican fare there were several non-traditional items such as BBQ ribs and brisket (which were very tasty). My wife and our friends split two Shrimp Fajita plates that they are still raving about.
The service was excellent and very friendly. We were there kind of late but never felt rushed by the staff. In fact we were only one of two tables of guests by the time we were finished and again never felt rushed by the staff.
The drinks were plenty tasty and strong. I loved that they served the Margaritas in clay cups.
As others have stated I now wish we would have gone there earlier in our trip so that we could have visited a few more times to try other menu items. It will certainly be a place we will visit the next time we are in Puerto Vallarta.

Hola 7traintripper7,

Thank you so much for visiting Las Adelitas while you were in Puerto Vallarta, we sincerely appreciate your business.

I am happy you enjoyed our decor and most of it is for sale. We contract with several buyers to provide a unique atmosphere, as well as Mexican souvenirs. Yes, our items are hand made in Mexico and you won't see a "Made In China" stamp on any of our things.

We pride ourselves on our menu and it sounds like you sampled our best fare. The secret BBQ marinade and sauce have been perfected for over 20 years. And our fajitas are made to order and are served with a variety of sides to make the perfect main course.

Our staff just wants you to feel welcome and have a great time. They are serving up your order with a smile.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we hope to see you again real soon.

“Great Local Restaurant for all tastes”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

Decided to try this place out. It's just a block or so behind the main avenue in the Hotel Zone. It's a very Mexican themed atmosphere with murals, photos and history painted on the walls, lots of Mex decor and waitresses in traditional Mexican outfits. The menu is interesting. They have very typical Mexican food that Americans are used to like Fajitas, burritos etc, but they also have many authentic dishes like Mole etc. In addition they offer barbeque such as ribs, chicken and hamburgers. I had the chicken a couple of times and it was delicious. They serve 4 different salsas and all the plates are traditional terrocada which I like. They also offer beef brisket that looks amazing though I didn't have it. The beans they serve with the dinner are excellent. I took a Mexican friend here and she also agreed the food was very good. I highly recommend the steak, rib combo, fajitas or the chicken in mole. Everything was good and the prices are very reasonable. It's also open until 11 which is good for those of us who go out later. It's very clean, fresh food. I also like how they bring to your table cucumber and jicama with chili/lime on top....

Our menu has evolved and we hope we are offering a variety of dishes that appeal to those looking for American BBQ and Mexican fare. All of our salas are home made and our serving plates are all made in Mexico. We aim to be authentic.

“Great food, great service, great location for Hotel Zone tourists”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

There aren't very many restaurants to chose from up towards the Hotel Zone in Puerto Vallarta, with most concentrated in Zona Romantica and El Malecon. Las Adelitas is a short walk from the hotel zone and offers a wonderful atmosphere, authentic delicious food (Best Chili Rellenos ever), and very accommodating English-friendly service for those of us whom are Espanol challenged. Absolutely a recommended from us and from a local who was shocked we had found it...like we'd invaded their in the know little spot!
