We have passed this restaurant on the way to Costco a few times, and it was always busy. Good sign! So we took a bus from the Marina, and got off in the Hotel district at Soriana's. We walked through that mall, and about 1/2 block behind it, turn right, and the restaurant is on the opposite side of the road - the only building there. It looks like a small Mexican eatery. The atmosphere incredible. You are greated by friendly staff and they are very attentative. Washrooms spotless. We had the beef brisket and ribs/chicken special. Both reasonably priced - $189.00 peso for each. They come with rice (or fries), coleslaw, corn on the cob, and REAL garlic toast. Instead of nachos and salsa while you are waiting, you get fresh cut turnips and cucumbers. Plates are old style Mexican pottery. Also, they have a wide selection of beer, and even have micro-brewery beers. Tried them, and they are different - a nice change from Pacifico all the time. The place is very busy on weekends. They have several televisions hanging, so sports events are shown; also have an quiet section where you are sitting in a garden area. Lots of locals come here with families.
