We have passed this restaurant on the way to Costco a few times, and it was always busy. Good sign! So we took a bus from the Marina, and got off in the Hotel district at Soriana's. We walked through that mall, and about 1/2 block behind it, turn right, and the restaurant is on the opposite side of the road - the only building there. It looks like a small Mexican eatery. The atmosphere incredible. You are greated by friendly staff and they are very attentative. Washrooms spotless. We had the beef brisket and ribs/chicken special. Both reasonably priced - $189.00 peso for each. They come with rice (or fries), coleslaw, corn on the cob, and REAL garlic toast. Instead of nachos and salsa while you are waiting, you get fresh cut turnips and cucumbers. Plates are old style Mexican pottery. Also, they have a wide selection of beer, and even have micro-brewery beers. Tried them, and they are different - a nice change from Pacifico all the time. The place is very busy on weekends. They have several televisions hanging, so sports events are shown; also have an quiet section where you are sitting in a garden area. Lots of locals come here with families.

Walking there at night didn't give me the best feeling in the world... but the food is pretty good. It's not great, but then again... there's really nothing in PV to write home about. It's more tex mex and a sports bar. Breakfast / Lunch is a better deal than dinner.

I have been to Las Adelitas 4 times so far and will go back soon. Each time I tried something different - a plate full of scallops one time, a stuffed pepper (chile relleno), and twice for a half-slab of ribs. This is absolutely THE place to go for ribs in Puerto Vallarta. Just remember to let your server know if you want a little or a lot of BBQ sauce - else you will get whatever the cook present feels like. The portions here are absolutely HUGE, so come hungry or have a place to stash your "doggie bag". The food quality is very good - no fanciful or unusual preparations, just lots of good solid filling food. A typical plate will come with rice or fries and beans. Their beans are ranch style, which means whole in juice with bits of bacon. Quite yummy. And they have good cole slaw too.
By the time you have an appetizer, salad, main course and drinks, you will probably spend at least $40 US per person, but for the portions it is worth it.
The ambiance and service are aimed at the gringo tourista, and that is who you will see here, mostly. Basically a nice fun, attentive place, sort of an up-scale Chilis.

We just discovered this restaurant this year. It's easy to get to from hotel zone. Excellent ribs and tortilla soup. Recommend the rib appetizer plate + the soup. Went twice on our visit to Puerto Vallarta this year. Owner used to own the 'No Name Cafe' downtown. Good service as well. Highly Recommend.

After checking out the reviews online we thought Las Adelitas might be an interesting dining choice after several nights of very traditional Mexican restaurants. It turned out to be both interesting and different. While there certainly are plenty of Mexican dishes on the menu, we ended up going with a full rack of ribs and a kilo of shrimp to share among 4 of us. It turned out to be plenty of food and very good. We really hadn't expected to encounter great barbecue ribs in Puerto Vallarta, but that's exactly what we enjoyed. We found the service at Las Adelitas to be really good - friendly, attentive but not bothersome. And yes, the decor is certainly interesting, if a bit eclectic. Not sure we needed all the various sporting events on the TV screens scattered about the place (sound off, thank you), but overall we had a great experience. Do suggest taking a taxi there. It's a wee bit off the main drag and not a terribly interesting walk to get there.
