Great ziplines for all ages! Wonderful views all the way to the ocean! The guides are exceptional, full of jokes, but honestly want you to have fun. Afterward, we tasted original local tequila. Any attraction including free tequila made by the locals is worth your time. WOW!

“FUN FUN FUN!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2014

This was our first time on a zip line tour, and I can't say enough good things about this excursion. My husband, our friend and I all enjoyed the zip lining, views, safety, tour guides, and facilities of Canopy River. This operation was first class all the way. Our friend even commented that he preferred this tour to the one he did in Costa Rica. We will be back!!!!

“Fun crew and magnificent views from the zip line!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

My husband and I wanted to do a zip line tour while on vacation. Prior to our trip, we had researched this company. Canopy River, we came to learn, is a cooperative owned by at least 30-35 local families who are mostly farmers. Being farmers ourselves, we were definitely happy to support the local farming families here in Puerto Vallarta! This was something that we also appreciated when we saw the mules that were a part of our tour. These animals were obviously taken care of (in good condition) and all of the guides took turns taking care of them when we were finished with the ride.

Esteban and Moses were our guides and they were so much fun! Esteban provided stories of how the company was started and history of some of the local plants. They were both very light-hearted and made the morning very fun and personal. We were the only two on the tour and we were never rushed to finish or felt that we didn't have their full attention. The views on this zip line were just awesome. The highest line is over 200 m and you could view rivers and rainforest beneath you and even an ocean view! Very safe and well maintained equipment.

Manuel (who is Esteban's brother) was our photographer and he was equally as fun to be around. He took 80 pictures of us over the entire time which we were able to purchase on a CD. He and I chatted about cameras during the trip and I appreciated his honesty.

We ate at the restaurant located on site which had reasonable prices. The tequila gallery sells all local tequila grown by families in the co-op. We ended up purchasing a bottle of the almond tequila. This was an awesome experience which we highly recommend to anyone who wants an adrenaline rush while viewing the beautiful landscape and supporting the local families.

“Fantastic!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

My husband and I (we're in our 50s) had never zip lined before and I was a little apprehensive ( he wasn't). We were on a cruise and had a day stop in PV. We had no problems booking this excursion, or finding the meeting point. All the arrangements ran smoothly. The actual guides of the ziplining were young, funny, responsible, experienced guys who were safety-conscious, but relaxed and very entertaining. We had a blast! The day was everything that was advertised: ziplining, rappelling, tubing (although the water level of the river was low, so it was an effort to float along), and mule ride back to the start. There we learned about tequila making and tasted some, and had lunch. The facilities are fine and the location up in the mountains is gorgeous. I recommend this experience and would happily go again.
