This is a restaurant and an attraction. It is located almost on top of the mountain and has a panoramic view of Banderas Bay. The food is excellent and more than you can eat, I especially liked their red snapper vera cruz style.

We had dinner there over the weekend. On the positive side the view is good, however our food was very poor, the ambiance was poor (bright lights) and they were over-priced.

The girls started off with the Lobster Bisque. They thought it was terrible! Very little lobster and it tasted like gravy. They hardly touched it. We had the Fish Corumba. The fish was overcooked and the sauce had a similiar taste to the gravy in the Lobster Bisque.

On top of the poor food the prices were very high. Service was OK. Poor experience and poor value. They are many, many great place to eat in PV. This is not one of them.

our cab driver took us there when we asked him to take us somewhere good. It is in northern downtown area near the top of the populated hillside. What a great view at sunset. The staff was great, the service was great and the food was very good. I had the ribs and my wife had the combo. It was so much food we should have split a plate. I ate all the ribs not becuase I should have, becuase it was good.
The Manager was very helpful in giving us directions where to go because we didnt want to take a cab just to walk down the hill.
This is a great place to expierance the view.
Well worth it.

Don't judge it by the outside. And, as all the reviews say, take a cab there. We walked down from the restaurant afterwards to the Malecon five blocks down; but never would have found this place without the cab taking us there.

For starters, had the onion soup, which was just so/so ($90.00 peso). The starter mixed salad was enough for two people (also $90.00 peso). And it was wonderful - so fresh, not from a bag. The chips and salsa included the young boy making the guacamola in front of you.

The shrimp combination plate was huge~it came with rice, vegetables, and seven large shrimp. The deep fried breaded were the best, then the coconut shrimp; however the shrimp mixed with ham & cheese and wrapped in bacon were much too salty for my liking. The dip for the shrimp was brought in an oyster shell. Rice was tasty, but the mixed vegetables were cold. This was $300.00 peso. A plain shrimp platter came with the same compliments but not the fancier shrimp and was $290.00 peso. This is not cheap restaurant.

Margerittas were just ok, but large for $90.00 peso. Complimentary kahula at the end of your meal. We were too full to try any deserts, and didn't finish our meals. Sevice was prompt, but as soon as they know you are finished your meal, they take everything away from your table. Seemed so abrupt.

Opened from 3pm to 11 pm, 7 days per week. View is to die for, bring your camera!

We have visited this restaurant for over ten years and will not miss the opportunity to dine there during our stay in Puerto Vallarta. You are seated on and open air veranda high on the hill overlooking the city and ocean. Specially impressive is to observe the sunset - bring your camera. The menu has many Mexican items and also International items prepared with a Mexican flair. You start off the evening with a young man making quacamole from scratch at your tavle. Recommend a tip for the lad as that is all he is paid. We really enjoy the Ah Carumba shrimp. It is a sure heart attack, shrimp stuffe with ham and cheese and wrapped in bacon, but worth the chance. Following dinner ask for the Mexican Coffee which is prepared flaming at tableside. You will find the property clean and the staff very courteous. Ah Carumba is surely a place you will return to in the future.
