Have walked passed for a couple of years. It was suggested by a gentleman on the plane. Locked the white with red polka dot theme. Then menu was limited but the tapas we had were very good and truly tapas size. Prices were good too. The Spanish tortilla reminded me of the ones we had in Spain. Look forward to returning there... The only bad thing is that there were not a lot of people here, but I am sure they will discover this hidden Vallartan gem

I have wanted to try this place for years...but usually in the area on Sundays when it closes at 6.
It was empty when we arrived...the owner and wife are attentive and all the tapas are great. We had the shrimp with garlic, green beans and olives ratatouille...THere are main dishes as well including paella. It's just south of the cathedral by the flea market but just off the malecon...behind the parking garage. Well worth the stop as it has charming balconies and great good at reasonable prices.

Visited in 2013 and returned this year. Rita, one of the owners, brought us a free sample of the Spanish tortilla. Very good. Ordered garlic-chili shrimp ration, Spanish potatoes ration, green beans ration, and and an octopus Galetian style tapas. All wonderful. Love dipping the bread in the various sauces. Fabulous Sangria. It was a Wednesday so the restaurant was almost empty. Try La Pena Andaluza, located north and east of the flea market by the Malecon bridge. It is one of our favorites and I don't want it to close.

My husband and I went here right after New Year's. We found it after going through the local market just off the malecon (maybe a little sign on the malecon could bring in more foot traffic?). We ate a delicious meal of tapas. The sangria was great and reminded me of my days studying in Seville. We appreciated the extra tapas we were brought and being introduced to "tigres" which are mussel croquetas. We loved the food so much that we came back the next night for a delicious paella, a full order of "tigres" and more sangria. We LOVE this place, and we can't wait to go back!

Eaten here several times and each time my family and I have enjoyed ourselves. The food is classic Spanish Cuisine, with Paella as the flagship offering. It's a mom & pop restaurant and the service can be quite "slow" if you're expecting U.S. restaurant style responsiveness. Many of the dishes are prepared from scratch so things take a while. If you're up for a a leisurely meal (1-2 hrs) and want great food at a fair price, and don't mind a few other quirks, this is one of the best places in Puerto Vallarta.
