A few years ago we booked Roberto for a day trip to San Sebastion and it was such a memorable excursion that we still socialize with a couple we met on the tour. This year we wanted to head north towards San Blas so we gave Roberto another call. You should know that because tourism has been off for awhile it is possible to negotiate a better rate than what might otherwise be posted. We were picked up early at our hotel and spent a great day enroute to San Blas..stopping roadside to sample various local fruit that we'd never seen before and enjoying some super fresh shrimp and red snapper at a small oceanfront eatery on a lovely small beach. Roberto certainly knew all the right spots. We took the boat tour through the mangrove swamp, saw lots of birds and smallish crocodiles and then got a gander at some huge crocs at a local refuge. In San Blas we visited the old fort, had a few beers in a great hole-in-the-wall cantina before we dined just off the zocalo at a spot where Roberto knew the chef. This is the way to see Mexico...nice and easy with personable company, professional conduct and time to see the sights away from the hustle and bustle of the big crowd. We'll use Roberto again, without hesitation, next time we're in PV.
