Old world charm with excellent facilities and a staff unmatched by friendliness. Had a wonderful stay and will stay again during our next visit to PV. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasing getaway off the beaten path.

We stayed in the treehouse - what a wonderful view of the bay and city! Room was clean, staff was superb. It is up a hill, so be prepared if walking. Lots of good food and shopping close by. Loved our stay, will return!

I am checking out of Luna Luquida today with a heavy heart. What an AMAZING plc! What an AMAZING stay! The rooms are BEAUTUFUL! SO tasteful and very very clean. And the staff are WONDERFUL. SO accommodating. Beautiful continental breakfast on the rooftop terrace every morning served by Eddy, always ready to help with my questions: fresh fruit plate, coffee, rolls and jam and freshly squeezed orange juice. STELLAR view. Well appointed common kitchen. A nice hike up from the malecon. Lots of great restaurants close by. This property exceeded all my expectations and I will be coming back for 3 weeks next January. THANK you, Monica for your WONDERFUL hospitality. Te veo de nuevo pronto, Luna Liquida.

This boutique hotel is up in so-called Gringo Gulch, at an elevation of about 200 ft or so on the north side of the river. If you are at the Puerto Vallarta sign near the waterfront, you go straight up the hills (228 steps, plus a few uphill sections). It’s high enough that you probably want to plan your day to minimize the up and down treks. There are a couple of small convenience stores just north on Calle Emilio Carranza if you want to pick up a few things. Continental breakfast (fruit, toast, jam, orange juice and coffee or tea) is included and most days you can also order from a menu for an extra charge. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, right next to the pool and the view is fantastic. At other times, they don’t have food available, but you can sign for beer or soft drinks by the pool on the top floor. There are a few kitchens in the hotel that you can use if you bring food back with you or want to cook. You can also store your own drinks in the fridge. There are a few nice restaurants close by, but you’ll probably also head into the downtown area. If you have problems with stairs, this might not be the best place for you, but we enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed in a Queen bed with partial ocean view and was pleasantly surprised once we checked in. We were given a tour of the entire property. Our room was very clean and had such charm! The best part was the rooftop pool as the views were priceless! The entire staff was just amazing and very helpful. I was fond of the housekeeper as she was very friendly as we tried to communicate. It was on a steep hill so make sure you have walking shoes but close to alot of things. Only real problem was the shower was like a trickle and never warm water. Wifi was sketchy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat which we plan on next year! Thank You for such warm hospitality.
