Swayed by the promise of free guacamole ( a waiter had given us a coupon during the afternoon when we were checking out the menu) and having stormed out of Hacienda Aleman in a huff ( see separate review of that unpleasant experience), we nabbed a nice table along the street and at a decent distance from the music. The guacamole-- made table side- was great-- spicy as requested-- and served with an enormous dish of chips. The star of the show, however, was the beef mocajete, bubbly and filled with loads of tender beef, nopale, panela cheese, green onions and an entire stuffed poblano pepper. It was more than enough for the two of us. Service was exceedingly friendly and attentive and the crowd of diners appeared just as happy with the restaurant as we were.
