“Salsa like you've never tasted”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Lets start with entering this perhaps 10 table, owner operated gem! Our margarits were frothy and delicious, cold and satisfying ! We had no knowledge of the salsa and how addicting it would become - but when it arrived we knew instantly that if the starter was that outstanding the rest of the meal could not possibly fall short. It did not ! My husband, not a fish lover, had a goat cheese stuffed filet and was very pleased. My molcajetes were good but tonight when we entertain a local Dr., his son and our manager I'm anxious to try something else.
I may just bring a container with me and fill it, after filling myself, with the amazing salsa made tableside by Benjamin, the owner. Enjoy !

“Repeat visitor”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

We have been to Gilmar several times over the last few years of visiting PV. Was not as impressed this time. Service was slow - there was a large table celebrating an event and that seemed to take a lot of their resources. The salsa made at the table was excellent as always, but the meals were very average.

“Good food but very small”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Traditional Mexican, ($10-20), on Calle Madero just east past Calle Insurgentes, EXCELLENT but service might be slow, special MX salsa fresh made at table at no extra charge. All-you-can-eat breakfast also for about $5.

“The best, freshest Mexican food in all Puerto Vallarta”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

It us the best, friendliest, Mexican restaurant in all of Old Town Puerto Vallarta. We had the Molcajetes with green sauce. OMG!!! It us the brightest, slight tart and tasty green sauce I have had. Even before the meal, the fantastic service begins with fresh salsa made at your table with chips. Go there, you will NOT regret it!
