“Wonderful Vacation”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at this resort. For the first week, we had my family - a group of mixed ages. ALL had a wonderful time. The property was a great size to feel comfortable having the smaller ones have some independence, the staff and offerings were terrific - and very one couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. The food is excellent.

Wonderful vacation! The staff is pleasant and the grounds are superb, the rooms are nice and the location is great....The pool is super the hot tub is great. The only complaint I had is that no wifi (only for gold members), they wanted $12 a day for internet in the room...One disruptive group from California in the bunch ( that thought rules did not apply to them). We lived in the pool and hot tub. nightly entertainment at the resort. Food was good at the resteraunt, Service at the pool area by Ricardo was excellent.

We had a great time as a family here (2 adults and 12 yr old daughter). The food wasn't spectacular but not that bad either..we filled our bellies and had 7 days of fun for a great price. Not a 5 star resort but VERY well kept and the staff is super friendly! Close to most of the excursions pick ups..some came right to the hotel. We mentioned it was our anniversary and that surprised us with chocolates, flowers, towel art and strawberries...really nice of them. Would stay again for such a bargain price.

Room Tip: Beds are a bit on the hard side. We did smallest room for the 3 of us and it was plenty of space! (i...

We own into the timeshare..we have always had wonderful experiences with Villa Del Palmar. This location is very close to everything! We always go all inclusive due to the drinking it pays off. The food was good, it is b-fast buffet in mornings, can order from menu but saming on buffet. Poolside service was on top of it! We had many fun nights with the staff! Rhythms of the Nights is amazing! If you ge the chance worth every penny! Overall the rooms were always clean no problems like some of the reviews I read, I was scared coming here, but I am soo glad we went! No problems, everything went perfect!!

I've stayed at Villa Del Palmar in the past and returned because of a good experience. We enjoyed a great week again this time. I love the location of this resort with easily accessible taxis and bus to downtown and grocery store just two blocks away. We stayed in a one bedroom unit overlooking the pool on the third floor. Great view and a small sliver of the ocean could be seen from the balcony. Our one bedroom unit featured a king bed in the master with private bath and a murphy bed in the living room and second full bath. I like the kitchen facilities in this size unit because you get a full size refrigerator, adequate dishware and a set of knives (not always found in RCI units). Nice beach area with waiters taking orders on the beach if desired. The only minor negative is the cost for Wi-Fi - $50 for the week and it's mainly available in the common areas. I am not sure why they charge for this when it is available free in so many locations. It would have been convenient to have this in the room, but they couldn't guarantee it would work in the room because it was from an outside company. In this electronic age, they should really get free Wi-Fi for the guests.

Room Tip: overlooking pool in third floor was great

Just a quick note., we took a "last minute" trip to Puerta Vallarta., this past 10 days., and stayed at this great resort and spa., Had a wonderful time., really friendly people, located close to everything., the staff was outstanding., we did not purchase the all-inclusive., as we like to eat locally., and we did., what a treat. Huge room., view of pool area, and ocean., perfect. Quiet, although it is in hotel zone., you can't hear any street noise, at all. . Three restaurants, three pools, kiddy, family, and two hot tubs, water was wonderful, then get out., and get that new "tan" you have been wanting., I love the hot tub!, my favorite., , beach is adjacent to the property., with lounge chairs., and service. The pool service was great., But, for me the spa is my thing., inexpensive., had a pedy, high/low lights, and before we went home., my husband and I had a massage., and guess where., out on the pier., that jets close to the ocean., wow!! private., white flowing curtains., just out of this world., I would go back just for that., it was magnificent., one hour of relaxing in paradise., Also, saw the new hotel., located up the coast., beautiful. Pay no attention to all the fuss at the airport., they are just trying to make a living., say "no thank you" get a cab., and be gone. No need to worry about water., food., or anything., while you are in paradise., just enjoy, laugh, have fun., that is what Puerta Vallerta is all about. See, you later, bye!!

Room Tip: I got in touch with Camille., at the hotel., told her what I was looking for., gave her my confirmat...

Great activities at the resort itself and the staff was helpful in organizing tours for us to see puerto Vallarta.
