visitors jammed into a small beach with too many rules around things as simple as snorkling (you must wear a lifevest, no matter how strong a swimmer you are).

“Day at the Beach”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

The beach at the resort itself is small, Las Caletas gave us the great day at the beach we were looking for.

“Great Family Fun Day”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

We went to Las Caletas through Vallarta Adventure on Dec. 29th, 2012. My kids (12, 10, and 7 yrs old) really enjoyed doing many activities in Kid Adventure Park. They did rock climbing, donkey riding, and Zip line. There were also many animals-Macaws, monkeys, and a python, and they took picktures with them. The beach is clean and really nice to play and swim. The lunch was good, too. I highly recommend Las Caletas for any family.

“Magical”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

Las Caletas used to be the American director John Houston's house. Vallerta Adventures bought it from him and turned it into a truly magical place for some of their activities. We booked our Xmas eve with "Rythms of the Night" which took us by boat at night to Las Caletas and OMG it was romantic, unique and magical. An experience I recommend to any romantic soul at there. The arrival on the island covered with candles and torches at night is unique. The show is of the quality of Cirque du Soleil in a fantastic exotic decor and the dinner over the water was truly romantic. A must do!

“Fun Day at Las Caletas”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Shore excersion from Carnival Splendor. Pricey at $99 (adult)for a day trip (less for kids) but a thoroughly enjoyable trip. The crew were highly entertaining (putting on a show on the return trip) , the drinks were free on and off the boat and the beach is great. Fabulous lunch, photos with huge snake, monkey and parrot. Snorkelling, stand up paddle boarding, and tubes made for a great afternoon.
