Went deep sea fishing with Mr Marlin, aboard " Top Gun"
discounted price of $450 / 8 hours
Owner Juan Moll , a bit of a legend , was there to see us off in the morning
We had nearly booked with someone else - $350 8 hour trip in a much smaller boat. Glad we didn't.
It was great to be able to sit up above or in the cabin or on couches at the back, lots of places to get out of the sun.
They organised a snack from a local restaurant - $10
Felt looked after and safe
The fishing was professional.
Captain Chico - quiet but efficient , crew Jose and Noah
Jose was talkative , felt a little like we were being groomed for the tip
At trip end tipped 10% ( $45) - recommended 5-10 %
He didn't hide his disappointment
Did catch 3 sailfish , which the crew took home
Overall a lot of motoring to get out to the deep water
Landing the fish was all over in 5 minutes each
Felt a little cruel , even though my son tells me fish have no sensation of pain.
Would have preferred to release them but the crew certainy wanted them to eat / sell
If you want to go deep sea fishing , I highly recommend this organisation

Thank Phil L

This was a nice area to stay in. Lots of shops and even more restaurants. Easy, inexpensive access to to Walmart, downtown, southside via bus and many other areas I think if you transfer.

Another little side trip for the budget-minded! A few small shops, retaurants and views of curise ships up-close. Also where most of the Ocean tours depart Great view of the Bay when cruise ships are not in port.

We always spend a day or two visiting the marina. There are many fine safe restaraunts to choose from. Lots of nice shops as well. My favorite thing to do is to look at all the fine saleboats and yatchs moored there. We always just take the bus, just ask the driver to let you off at the right stop and where to get on agaon to go back to your hotel.

We make a trip to the marina every year that we come to the area. We love walking boardwalk , go through the shops, have lunch , etc.
The only thng that would make it better is that the time share people would get out of your face. We know that they will be there, however we do not like it-- as they seem to be getting more persistent. Now instead of making a few trips , we only go once.
