My family of 6 and I had a wonderful time at Unique ATV tours. Our tour was the 1pm tour on August 2, 2013 I believe. We had three riders with minimal ATV experience and 3 with none at all. We chose the three and half hour tour, (the lowest one) because that was all we wanted. How we found ATV tours was through a beach seller and we had no problem with prices changing on us when we got there. (Although we did notice the payment for our group in pesos was lower than what we paid in america, but our seller had to get his cut, Understandable) Once at Unique we waited with the rest of our group probably less than 20 minutes. Recieved a fairly easy tutorial on how to use the ATV. My sister was slight intimidated with the ATV but Oscar? The ATV we're not in pristine condition but I knew to expect that, as I have traveled to Cabo and PV before and knew that when you use these tours you are not in the states and are not going to be riding on brand new machines. We headed out of the Unique tours location. which is a open court yard. Rode through town until we reached the mountain dirt road. The ride through town was nice. Got to see the real side of town. And my family enjoyed that. Once on the dirt mountain road we go to open up a little more pick up some speed and get the gears going. We rode for quite awhile until it seems we reached the top or our riding point and started to head down just a bit before the first Snack stop. There we got to go to the bathroom. Drink some Corona's, try some of tequila, take pictures. Some of our tour walked down to the river and jumped in, the pool was empty. My family enjoyed just sitting and talking with our guide. After probably about a half hour we jumped back on. Headed down a bit more and came upon the restaurant. There we ate, awesome food for it being a restaurant on the side of a mountain on the side of a dirt road. Got to taste the tequila specific to the restaruant, my family througholy enjoyed this. After probably about an hour we finished up our tour back into town.
All in all it was a fun experience. We weren't looking for a full on ATV tour, we enjoyed the breaks. (As we had such new riders) Enjoyed the food, and Tequila!!! And had an awesome crew with us. Very helpful and informative. Hilarious too! If your really an ATVer, sure take the longer ride there will probably be more time on the ATVs. But for my family of new riders this was perfect and exactly what we needed. Great way to see the beautiful mountain area. And a great time for all!

We did a combination zip line and ATV tour. We enjoyed our entire day. The guides were very nice and spoke good English. The only negative aspect of the ATV tour was the condition of the vehicles. They were pretty run down but we had no problems except having a tire constantly losing air. Would recommend the tour without hesitation.

Coming into town , we heard about the great fun we would have on one of the area's ATV tours. We chose Unique ATV since it was close our hotel at Garza Blanca. While the journey in our ATV with the group started out fun trekking through the mountain town's streets, we quickly found this less of an ATV off road tour and more of tour of the local bars. The tour was touted as 3 hours , yet we spent less than one hour on the ATVS and the rest of the time sitting around doing nothing or eating lunch. Customer service was poor and the ATVs seemed badly maintained as the group had to stop several times for what seems to be engine stalls. At the end of it all, our tour guide, who did not so much as say hello or introduce himself up to that point, demanded a big tip before allowing us to leave ! There are lots of great ATV tours in the area , but cross this one off your list

Actually, the tour is advertised as a 3 1/2 hour tour, not a 3 hour tour, and our website clearly states where it stops. We stop at 2 restaurants, not bars. The first stop is at the Sierra Viejo restaurant located in the jungle high into the mountains. This restaurant has a river fed swimming pool, a river alongside, and magnificiant views. It is a must stop for snacks, drinks, swimming, and picture taking. Our next, and last stop, is at Moro Paraiso restaurant located right on the Rio Cuale river. It is a true Mexican family ran restaurant with great food, and a tequila tasting tour. Many of our guests also choose to take swim in the Rio Cuale river while at the restaurant.
Those two stops take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, based on how many people on the tour choose to order food at either restaurant.

If a lot more ATV'ing was your primary goal, then one should have chosen one of our other 5 tours that offer much more ATV'ing than the River Cuale/Jungle Trek tour. However, because those tours are much longer (some more than 4 times more ATV'ing), they are also more costly. You can't expect to choose the cheapest tour, and get hours and hours of atv riding, even though we have tours that do just that.

Last, there are only 2 other ATV companies in the area, and both only offer one tour in Vallarta, and it is the Rio Cuale/Jungle Trek tour, the same exact tour we took you on. The other great ATV tours that you refer to are available, but they are only offered by Unique ATV Tours. Look on our website.

This tour was pretty good but there are a few things I would like to point out.
The location is somewhat hard to find. Our cab driver had to stop and ask for directions. The cool part is that it is in the heart of old town. We got there early and walked around for a bit. Sign in seemed messy. The guys didn't seem like they cared much until it was time to go. Then rushed us to get on our ATVs to get our tour going. Not a lot of instruction on how to drive the ATV. For beginners, they may be slightly intimidated because the first thing you do is drive through the town. Traffic and all. The ride was great. They take you through the city, mountain side, and a couple small water crossings. The view was spectacular.
The description says that they take you to a tequila factory but all they did was take us to a spot where you can purchase food. A guy comes out and talks about tequila and you get to try some but we did not get to see the factory itself.
Overall, I feel like they just tried to cram in as many people as possible and rushed us to get through the tour. It would have been great if not for that fact.
