Just back from a tremendous...no make that transcendent dinner at Casa Naranjo. This place is off the beaten path; beyond the "walking through a neighborhood" comfort zone of some of you reading this. But this place is so worth it. You will survive the walk, and cab it if you must.

It is the best steak and chop in PV hands down. Go for the mushroom sauce, asparagus and red wine, or three chile; they will all give you something to talk about and remember with a smile. The orange soup is signature unique. You won't find it anywhere, you would never make it yourself, so just come here and indulge. The seafood is market fresh and equal to the steak for praise.

PV food lovers, this is a restaurant that deserves our patronage. To the tourist crowd, if you stick with the old classics, you will pay twice as much, wait three times as long and not have the memorable meal you would enjoy here. Locals and visitors alike, pay a visit and join the fight to create another landmark on the scene.

Naranjo salad excellent I would also recommend to crab bisque. Sea bass very tasty but it needed a few veg to go along with it. Drinks are over priced.

Four of us just finished a superb dinner, every dish was excellent. Four outstanding fish entrees: salmon, sea bass and red snapper (2). Wonderful appetizers and deserts. Since everything is specially prepared in an open kitchen, service, though conscientious, was not too fast. Very clean and comfortable

We had a wonderful meal this past Fri. My husband loved the pork chop and I had the sea bass with basil sauce. Wow!!! Great presentation and atmosphere for a neighborhood restaurant.
Will be back. Elaine from Niceville Florida

If you’re a foodie, Casa Naranjo is a fine place for a splurge. I’ve heard about it for years and should have gone sooner. Contemporary interior (see my photos), and the focal point is an immaculate open kitchen in the center. The Smoked Salmon Carpaccio appetizer was the best salmon I’ve ever tasted. Then came the Red Snapper, marinated in adobo (basically a seasoned salt, popular in Mexico) and pan-fried. Perfect. The warm, silky, pureed pineapple shooter on the side was too good to shoot. Entrees were $15-$30.

Nice wine list for PV - most bottles $40-$60. Try one of their frozen drinks as a “dessert”. Service is impeccable. Casa Naranjo is in the old, atmospheric part of town – very safe. All the cab drivers know it, and it’s just a 6-block walk back into "the neighborhood" from the beach while you soak up the local color. Open evenings. I’ll be back.
