First thing being said-service is slow! If you can deal with this--you are ready for an AMAZING trip. We stayed in the one bedroom suite and the penthouse.
It is above and beyond anything you could get for the price. I have stayed at the four seasons penthouse and this topped that!
Open air full sliding glass doors open completely up so you have a 180 view of amazingly clean beach. I will never stay anywhere else if i travel here again

The rooms and pool were exquisite. Service was very good. Food was mediocre and prices higher than anticipated for Mexico. The facility is still new and undergoing construction which would be disturbing if looking for a more relaxing atmosphere. Few people were at the resort at the time of our stay. The pools were the most elaborate I've seen - just beautiful and we enjoyed them despite the construction noise. The views were fantastic. Only one restaurant, and a pool side cafe so dining experience was very limited. I believe it was more an "owners" resort than hotel and spa. I would stay again, although not for more than a few days.

This area is on the edge of the developed area south of PV and typical touristy stuff
15 min cab ride (north) to downtown PV (restaurant and tourist activities)
short cab (south) to Mismaloya and rural/ jungle-ish adventures

I visited right before the start of very hot season so there were not very may guests here. As a result, service was amazing! Rooms were spacious: mine private hot tub, large bath with soaking tub and separate shower, sitting area.

Concierge was very helpful. Fluent in English (she grew up in Idaho) and Spanish. For a short wknd of R&R, I could simply not leave the resort! And that is unusual for me- typically, I am an explorer!

This was perfect for a long wknd (Memorial wnd). Alaska flies direct from SFO, 3hr flight and you are to the beach in Mexico! It does help if you speak (or attempt to speak) Spanish. Much of the PV crowd can be US tourists who do not try to learn the Mexican culture.

The restaurant is one of the best in PV area. There were several Mexican families and locals who dressed quite nicely to dine in the restaurant at GB.

We went there for honeymoon and were upgraded to a fantastic suite with amazing view. The location and facility was excellent except for a lot of construction going on behind the hotel. The staff tried hard and were friendly but were poorly trained and seemed to have no manager. As a result the service was in general pretty poor eg few clean towels left and had to keep calling for more, gym was always shut, restaurant service for breakfast was very slow - had to wait 30 minutes for a coffee one day and we were the only customers there, internet was slow or didn't work. The restaurant was very overpriced and food at best average (with poor choice) better to take a cab up the road to Tony's where you will have fantastic fresh seafood at less than 1/2 of the price. Beds and furnishings were great but pillows hard. Was very clean and well maintained. If they can get a good manager and improve the customer service would be perfect.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel for the money. Lovely property, architecture and landscaping. Great service, friendly staff... suspect that the rates will go up, and they do I will not go back...

A few nits:
- They are still building onto the property so there is a lot of construction noise.
- Housekeeping was stingy with towels and the packs of COFFEE! that you can make in the room yourself. We had to ask to have it replenished daily and, when they didn't, we just stopped asking.
- If you ask the concierge to book you an excursion, they mark it by 10 percent.
- Half the time we went to the gym, it was locked.
- Excellent value for the money, but if the prices go up I will scurry off to a hotel that has ironed out all of the kinks.
- The bed and pillows are hard and super uncomfortable. I highly suggest you bring your own pillow.

My friend owned this resort and it was a beautiful place then. The Mexican government decided he didn't need to be making good money that they could and confiscated the place lock, stock and barrel. It was beautiful then and I'm sure now, but could not bring myself to go back after the dirty deed described above

Just stopped by for a day to try this new resort and I am so glad I did!
Fabulous location, service and views.
The chef is awesome-every bite is a party in your mouth!

Secluded but a short 10-15 minute taxi ride to down town and they fabulous shopping, restaurants and night life. That is if you ever want to leave your terrace and the spectacular sunset

The attention to details is incredible!
