A complete meal for one price at a good value. I would recommend anyone to eat at Dianita's.

“Authentic Mexican breakfast/lunch”
Reviewed January 28, 2012

Consistently good, authentic, inexpensive fare. Very small, maybe seats 20, so during peak breakfast hours it can be difficult to get a seat as it is crowded with Vallartan residents - although I like to think of it as my secret little hole in the wall. The fresh fruit, yogurt and granola or the papaya and honey are a wonderful light start if you aren't looking for a heavy breakfast. If you want eggs, they do a very satisfying huevos rancheros, huevos divorciados, and omellete con todo. Also serves a decent cup of coffee, but if you're like me, you'll be happy to know Starbucks is within a short walking distance. The Comida Corrida at 55 pesos (or the daily special at 70 pesos) is a lunch deal you can't pass up.

“ideal place for comida corrida”
Reviewed January 20, 2012

If you're already familiar with the Mexican tradition of a fixed-price mid-day meal this place will impress for its unusually wide range of choice and value. For those unfamiliar, for 55 pesos (just over $4 at current exchange rates) you get a choice of one of three daily soups, a main course chosen from 8 or more wonderful stews and/or simply grilled items, with beans, rice and tortillas, and a pitcher of the ague fresco of the day, which is sweetened juice from local fruits (e.g. watermelon, lima, Jamaica [hibiscus flowers]).

It's a perfect amount of food - an education in itself if you're used to gargantuan U.S. portion sizes - always well-cooked in a wonderfully homey atmosphere. We've been eating here for years and it's been the same friendly people each time. Don't miss it!

“Good Mexican Breakfast.”
Reviewed November 13, 2011

If you want something off the beaten breakfast path, stop here. Scrambled eggs, chorizo. and beans with hot homemade tortillas. And fresh squeezed orange juice. Want more could you ask for? And all at a cheap price with good service.

“Great Lunches”
Reviewed October 29, 2011

We've been eating at Dianita for a couple of years now. The Comida Corrida, or lunch specials are awesome. You have at least 6-8 choices for lunch. All meals come with a choice of soup (get the cream soups, so yummy) a choice of entree and a pitcher of freshly made fruit water, as well as tortillas. The cost is $55 pesos per person which is a good value and you leave very full if not stuffed. They also have a regular, a la carte menu offering burgers and sandwiches but why not take advantage of the lunch specials? They are uniquely Mexican and I for one, did not travel to Mexico to eat burgers.
The staff is very friendly and the owners speak English to assist those that do not speak
Spanish. Dianita is a great lunch spot that I will return to time and time again.
