The newly-remodeled & cleaned-up restaurant has still got it: some of the best tortilla soup in town, great salads, terrific burgers, and perhaps the largest & tastiest Bloody Mary in town. Can get crowded, but for good reason. Careful: closed Tuesdays.

6 of us (4 tourists and 2 Mexicans from Guadalajara) went here for dinner.

We all had margaritas which were nice, strong and came in big glasses!

The food was fantastic although it's Americanized Mexican cuisine according to our Mexican friends. One difference is that there's a lot of cheese than traditional cooking.

I ordered the sampler plate for 130 pesos. It's a huge plate with a little bit of everything. I figure, why order 1 dish when you can sample several of it for less than US$13!

Our waiter was friendly and attentive and frequently checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed.

The restaurant is located off of Playa de Los Muertos, which is the gay part of the beach. It's got plenty of seating and reservations were not necessary. We got a table right away.

I definitely recommend this place!

Great ambiance, the decor is Mexico meets Paris. Beautiful Modigliani prints don the walls and menus.
Food is delicious and affordable.
Nice date nice place.
Great service too!

We went twice and had great meals. The seafood "soup" (more of a bouillabaise) was outstanding. The bowl was filled with chunks of seafood, including lobster, octopus, and large shrimp. Also had an outstanding sauteed octopus and fantastic frozen drinks made with fresh fruit (margaritas, pina coladas, with and without alcohol). Good prices too.

The only downside is that if you go during the busiest times there is a huge line. Don't know why this isn't rated higher on TA; the people waiting in the lines, including us, seem to think this place is pretty good.

Have been to this great, very clean restaurant about 5 times, and love it every time, mostly have the Mexican plate, although I find the think Mexcian steak a bit tough, so usually sub that part of the meal. The chicken and ribs are wonderful and come with a great twice baked potato! Prices are very reasonable..give it a try!
