Getting into our taxi from our resort we told the driver to take us to the best food in the city. After a fast and furious cab ride up the hillside and down small streets we stopped and a youngish boy opens our door to greet us and show us up a narrow stairway that opens up into the most beautiful view of the bay and they entire city. What a beautiful place to watch the sunset and the service was awesome. Ordering the guacemole it was made at our table side by yet again another youngish boy, he was no nice and the guacemole was so very good. The fajitas are so very good and everything was greatly priced. You can't beat this place with all that it has to offer. This was also the place that the boyfriend proposed to me one week ago today, it was our second trip there for dinner and we happened to go a little later and we were the only 2 dining at that time. It was the perfect location for a proposal and we will be going back there again.

I know restaurant reviews are completely subjective, based on a variety of factors. This place is VERY expensive, the food mediocre at best - the only good thing i can say about this place is the view.....I will not return, nor will i recommend to anyone. Many other restaurants in PV worthy of your business, just not this one...In my opinion.

Each year we have 1 or 2 dinners here for a special treat. The view over the city and bay at sunset are worth the trip there, but the food and service are also first-rate. There is always a wandering band playing, but it is appropriately loud and these guys are musicians! They will play for your table, but are not pushy if you decline. The setting is in an old home and they do a great job of making you feel you are a valued guest in their home.

There is one complaint and that is with the taxis waiting outside. I will warn folks so you are not caught off guard as we were the first time. Know what the rates should be, but expect to be charged more to be taken home than you spent going. The last couple of years we were told it would be double what we had paid to get there and they were not pleasant about it. We simply paid the correct fare when we got out, but got yelled at as a result. Not fun, This year we asked someone on staff and we were told it would be 10 more pesos to get back "because that is just how it is" but if they tried to charge more, pay it and tell them you were reporting them to the restaurant and they would no longer be allowed to pick up there. I did not see how that would help US. The price quoted was the 10 extra pesos. Knowing you are likely to have some issues with taxis at the end of a lovely evening does not enhance the experience.

Restaurant excellent, taxis not so much.

The restaurant has a beautiful view of the city and coastline. Went there to watch the sunset. Very Romantic. Good for special occasions. However, the food is just ok. Have tasted better Mexican food before. But it's still worth it for the view and atmosphere. Recommend it.
