so much to see in P.V. every time you think you seen everything there is much more to see. Every block has a hidden gem that needs to be seen by all.

I have traveled to many beautiful Catholic Churches in Mexico. Although this is indeed a very lovely one, I was some what disappointed that people were allowed to go in dressed so immodest. I was there for a wedding and the bride wore a strapless dress with no top covering. Now...if you go to Our Lady of Guadalupe just before entering there is a sign posted stating that if you are not wearing appropriate attire, you are not to go in. The beauty of the Catholic Church is in everything it stands for not just the physical appearance. I was very disappointed! Shame on the people that were dressed so immodestly and shame on the "Padre" for not addressing the irreverance and lack of respect. 10/3102009

OUR LADY OF THE REFUGE CHURCH

corner of Peru & Argentina -Central City

This is a charming traditional Mexican Catholic Church that reminds you of one of the missions in the West. It has a beautiful altar with a very ornate tabernable. The outline of the columns and the altar are done in tasteful gold.

Masses are held daily at 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday again at 7:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. and again at 7:00 p.m.
It is missed by many travelers who go to see the graet Church of Our Lady of Guadeloupe, but it is worth a visit
