El Barracuda was introduced to me by a friend after I mentioned my longing for a torta ahogada, a savory, sauce-covered sandwich original to Guadalajara. A short walk towards 5 de diciembre (away from the Malécon), El Barracuda is in a great location, with dining in the covered, open-air restaurant or large picnic tables directly on the beach. The menu is shown on a large board and the servers are attentive and fast. Cervezas are chilled, topotes are fresh in large cubetas and tortas are delicious! Note: after 6 the menu changes to dinner (no tortas): a bit more expensive than lunch but still muy rico - try the ceviche or Octopus San Lucia. A great place for friends or a casual date. Cash only and closed on Mondays! http://www.elbarracuda.com/
