“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

The food is always amazing and with a great view of the Malecon you can people watch while enjoying your meail and watch the sun go down. I always get the Chipotle shrimp - which is great - the whole menu looks good though. This is also where I discovered my love for guacamole - they make it fresh at your table!

“Memorable Mexican”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Found this restaurant by simply following our noses. It's far from bland, perfect for when your taste buds are bored or you need something that warms the belly and deeply satisfies. For a girl who never liked Mexican food, I sure can't get enough of their Molcajete! You will dream about it. Their nachos are also tasty and I don't normally eat that kind of cheesy goodness, but splurge when here. My husband is local and picky, he LOVES the dishes here. Located right in the middle of the action, and fans come here to watch the soccer games on T.V., so it does get loud and a bit warm in there but not enough to keep us away. It's also next door to another restaurant we adore and have a hard time deciding which to choose. I just found out they are owned by the same person so I don't feel so bad either way and that explains why both are so amazingly delicious.

“Great quality & service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

We stumbled upon this restaurant even though we walked by it several times while in Puerto Vallarta this March & last March. My daughter had glanced at a review on Trip Advisor about it. While trying to think of a place to get something light to eat & drink one hot afternoon while shopping downtown, she remembered reading about so we decided to give it a try. We were SO glad we did! VERY attentive wait staff, high quality food with many items made fresh in-house.
We ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp to share and an order of guacamole & chips made tableside. Everything was excellent. Salad & shrimp were fresh, guacamole was wonderful and the strawberry daquiris were also very refreshing - they even made us one in a cup to go when we left. They also had fresh fried tortillas for the guacamole and a very good homemade salsa on the side - the waiter even knew the ingredients for the salsa & how it was made. Great place and great location right on the Malecon.

“Where the locals go”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

We stayed at Paradise Village and took a bus downtown for some shopping. Before going we asked several of the staff at Paradise Village and they all agreed that Mi Querencia was where they go for authentic Mexican. Needless to say we weren't disappointed one bit! Lupe was our waiter and did an outstanding job, he even went so far as to call us a cab since it was so late when we finished and we didn't want to bother with the bus schedule. Everything was great the coconut shrimp was amazing as well as the chicken. Salsa and chips were outstanding and just enjoyed a great meal watching the sun set! Well worth the visit if your looking for a "non touristy" spot!

“Good food, reasonable cost, primo location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013

We had dinner here our second night in town and enjoyed it. The food was excellent and Mario was quite pleasant and attentive. We went in at 6p.m. and were able to have our pick of tables overlooking the Malecon and the sunset over the ocean. The one drawback was the traffic, mostly the buses, within a few feet of the window. But all in all a worthwhile dinner. Recommend you give it a try.
