“Delicious Breakfasts”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

We stayed in Puerto Vallarta the week of the 22nd and had breakfast at El Andariego one of those days as it was near our Hotel and it had been recommended by one of the TP forum contributors. We loved it! The service staff was great from the moment we walked in. They made us feel very welcomed and the décor and ambience there is very authentic. I had the Huevos Motulenos and my husband had their Machaca plate. The Food was delicious. They also have a beautiful Mural painted on the second floor that is worth seeing. This is a great little place to try!

“One of the best Mexican restaurants in PV”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

One week in PV, many restaurants later, El Andariego became our favorite Mexican restaurant there.
The ambiance is authentic Mexican. The guests are mostly PV locals, which should tells you it's the real deal with great service!
Big portions and great tasting. So much flavor in everything they make. It is NOT your typical Americanized Mexican tourist trap!
The live music and singing made the place even better!
I give this place A+++!

“Memorable time, good food, warm service, and convenience.”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

My wife and I recently spent a week in PV. We knew there were many good restaurants to explore, and Andariego was among our first. We chose the restaurant for its menu, appearance, and location across the street from our hotel. The huevos rancheros were very good and their presentation was a notch above the other nearby restaurants. We decided then that we would be returning later in the week for dinner.

Dinner was fun and delicious. Our servers presented us with fajitas for two and poured then ignited a small vial of tequila for effect. Our camera was not available to capture the fajitas in all their glory, but that was no problem. They did a repeat performance that looked magnificent and we caught it on camera this time around.
The guitarist performing that night was talented and we enjoyed his singing.

We returned for our third visit prior to our departure. Same competent, professional service. I'll agree with another reviewer that the lobster bisque is over the top. Tortilla soup and the shrimp dishes are quite good. Prices were reasonable and consistent with other comparable restaurants we visited. As Seattle residents, we found the overall combination of price, service, quality, and environment to be a great value. Andariego and its staff provided good memories (and fine photos) for our first trip to PV.

Thank you for taking the time to give us such a lovely and complete feedback.
It's true, there are so many restaurants in PV; so it's a pleasure that you chose us! Day by day, we work really hard to be a better restaurant...our chefs, our waiters... even our singer! =) By the way, he's name is Salomón Rodriguez, and has been with us for the last 15 years. From Tuesday to Sunday, from 3pm you can find him here!

We're sorry for the delay to answering you :(
We had some changes and unfortunately didn't give enough follow. .. but we are back in TripAdvisor!
thanks again and hope yo see you in your next visit to Puerto Vallarta.

“Very nice meal”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We ate at El Andariego on our last night in PV. We were a group of four. We had an excellent meal and everyone enjoyed their food. The portions were large. It was very good, authentic, Mexican food. Our service was good as was the decor of the restaurant. The prices there were also very reasonable. Our total bill for four people with three drinks a piece was under $80.00. We will be back.
