There are surprisingly a lot of restaurant choices for chinese food in Puerto Vallarta. This one is very good. It's just about a block from the malecon, with a nice covered patio where we comfortably waited out a pounding rainstorm.
We started with the dumplings, served with a soy-onion-jalapeno sauce, a great spicy-salty-sweet combination. My friend had the classic kung pao chicken -- big chunks of chicken breast with spicy sauce and peanuts. Spicier than the usual American version, but without the scorching whole peppers you have to scrape to the side. I had the pork loin, sliced thin and stir-fried with sweet peppers and onions. Very nice.
The cost is a little more than normal U.S. chinese fare, but it's good quality. Next time I have a jones for chinese food in PV, this is where I'll go.
