“Great chilaquiles and other breakfast entrees.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2012

Second breakfast here this year. Excellent. Wonderful views as well and attentive service. We'll have to try lunch or dinner but we do know that breakfast is tough to top. We split an order of their Marco's Rancheros Eggs in addition to Chilaquiles Au Gratin with Chicken. Both superb. Great salsa and a pleasantly hot sauce to add as well plus tortillas and sliced bread that was great for sopping up the wonderful sauce with the egg dish.

“More than just a dining experience”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2012

Our first time at Las Palomas. It is a two story building with an open balcony for dining that provides a street view albiet street noisy but that was to be expected. If you look out far enough you can see the Malacon about a half dozen blocks away, but unfortunately obstructed by buildings for an ocean breeze.
We ordered the house speciality of the day: split grilled shrimp dish which we found to be well prepared and savory. I would have given this resturant a much higher rating except for one glaring problem: time share sales at the table and after we dined. A kiss of death in my opinion. First a gentelman dropped by the table inquiring about our meal. I bluntly asked if he was selling time share. He assured me he was not. A short time later a young lady approached us while dining. She was very personable and inquired about our dinner and started asking questions about where we were from, where we were staying, ect. As we were about to leave she approached us again and started her pitch in earnest. I told her we had no interest in time share or whatever program she was selling. We left her talking to the hand and I vowed not to visit this resturant again after spending a hundred dollars for this sort of intrusive experience.

“Best food we've had in our 30 day trip through Mexico”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012

Fio was our server and the kitchen delivered as promised—the food was excellent and beautifully presented. We felt we really lucked in for change.

If you visit Puerto Vallarta, be sure to visit this restaurant. Right by the ocean in old Centro, the setting could not be better.

“Shrimp supreme”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012

The shrimp dishes at this restaurant are possibly the best in Puerto Vallarta. Jumbo in size and scrumptious in flavor these shrimp dishes are the best I've ever tasted. When in Mexico, I crave the papaya and the shrimp, not necessarily in that order and Las Palomas never fails to meet all of my expectations.
The only thing to rival the food and friendly service is the beautiful atmosphere of watching a Mexican sunset from the roof of this beautifully decorated place while enjoying your favorite margarita or glass of wine.
I suggest this superb restaurant to all. And to add a dessert, the prices are moderate.

Wicked view from the top floor of the restaurant and excellent food! We ate there 2 different nights and both worth every peso. The staff were very attentive and made us feel welcomed!
