Description: The Blue Shrimp Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta is the best seafood restaurant in the area, long time established. Situated off Olas Altas Beach, on the ocean with spectacular daily view of the sunset, The Blue Shrimp Restaurant is a fun atmosphere with occasional live entertainment, under a large palapa roof and ‘boat-deck’ feel. Open for lunch and dinner, The Blue Shrimp Restaurant serves mouth-watering seafood and shrimp concoctions that you cannot find anywhere else! The restaurant is a great place to bring the family, celebrate a birthday, romantic dinner, or special event. Come sit down with us, right at the end of the Malecon and feel the breeze of the Banderas Bay, it’s Shrimply The Best!

They offered us a sample of their coconutr shrimp. All you could tatse was breading and cocunut. In a blind tatse test you never would have picked out it was shrimp. Their sample made us go to another local establishment w=during Restaraunt week. The hostess also told us their suster restaraunt was Si Senor, so we decided to cross that off our retaraunt week too.

This place certainly has it hands down for location. Five stars for that. Food is pub quality at best. I'd go back for a drink at the bar, but not for food.

This is my third trip to the Blue Shrimp. The first time it was in a little tiny place off the main strip back a few streets. Then we trekked by foot all over PVR with my wedding party a couple years ago trying to find it because they moved. We found them in old town on the ocean in a beautiful spot. This time we took a bunch of freliends from the Ameripride/Canadian Linen group and as usual there were no disappointments. We always order the Shrimp boat its 135$,but has fish and calamari appetizers as well as homemade quacomole made in front of you (best ever) and also buns. That shrimp boat combo feeds four and also comes with salad bar. We have yet to finish it all. The staff fall all over trying to help you never for a second letting you have an empty glass or any problems. The mariachi band that comes around is entertaining and worth the 7$ fee to be at your table for a couple songs. Its well worth the trip to old town for the shopping as well bartering is better there as it is off the malacon.

We stopped for dinner and weren't disappointed. All of the shrimp dishes were great and they did the filet perfectly. Good drinks, wonderful table side guacamole and an entertaining singer made this a great night. A beachside table to enjoy the setting sun made this one to recommend.

Very good food. Great view we sat in side to get some shade our table overlooked the beach. The calamari and shrimp cocktail were very good the seafood sauce needed a bit more spice, a little to sweet for my taste. The price was very reasonable for lunch and 2 beers. The only down side were the vendors on the beach.
