You won't want to miss visiting the open air market, the Plaza, but especially the old bakery- be sure to purchase the baked goods, maybe more than you think you'll eat, because it will disappear quick.

Love walking around old town Mazatlan looking for unique shops off the beaten path. On every trip to Mazatlan we watch the sunset from the 360 degree view from the top of the Best Western Hotel and enjoy a wonderful cocktail. Then we proceed to the Plaza to see the local craft fair and bands that are there every Friday and Saturday night before we go to dinner at Topolo's. It's make for a great evening with friends or a very romantic time with you significant other. Nothing beats a Mazatlan sunset!

From the historic buildings to the multicoloured flare your sure to be fascinated with this district. Around every corner is an interesting point of interest. One day is not enough for Old Mazatlán.

It is always a pleasure to walk the streets of old Mazatlan, taking in the sights and sounds and smells of this beautiful city. It is a must for any visitor to this wonderful city. Take the bus to the centro Mercado and walk from there in any direction. Be sure to take your camera!

Plenty of local character, tons of silver shops, lots to see. Enjoyed bartering with vendors and having friendly conversations. Brought back ceramic house numbers mad locally.
