The house on Stone Island was wonderful and it was better than expected. Everything that we needed for our stay was there (fully appointed kitchen, bedsheets and towels). The garden on the property was lush and green. We particularly enjoyed barbequeing on the outdoor charcoal barbeque.
Flor was kind enough to pick us up and return us to the airport at the end of our stay.
It was approximately a 20 minute walk to the beach, but that suited us just fine as we enjoy walking. A bicycle was provided for our use.
The home was close to the water taxi that took us to the mainland which was convenient.
Stone Island is a slice of paradise and a wonderful place to beat the harsh Canadian winters.
Amenities such as water, food and propane were readily available by street vendors. We were in close proximity to a fresh fruit and vegetable market and a store that sells Pacifico beer.
Sometimes when the sun set the barking dogs were a bit annoying, but I guess that's all part of a rural Mexican experience.
If I could use one word to describe the Island people it would be FRIENDLY.
