“Malecon”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

The Malecon is a perfect place for a leisurely stroll, or to listen to music, or ride your bicycle and has several accesses to the beach and beach front restaurants!

“The Malecon”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Nice place to walk.........however no shaded area's so bring a hat and water. Still better than shovelling snow! No tourist traps or vendors on the day we were there. Very long so could be used for long power walks if you like the sun and heat.

Early morning walks and incredible sunsets. Always there is a cool breeze coming off the water, even in hot summertime

“A Great Way to see Mazatlan”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

The Malacon is the sidewalk that runs completely around the bay. In recent years Mazatlan has upgraded it to improve the looks and added benches along the way. I have walked the Malacon from the Golden Zone to the Shrimp Bucket. You can see true Mazatlan just by walking along the Malacon.

“Calling all walkers!”
Reviewed May 12, 2014 via mobile

Out of the handful of malecons we have visited in Mexico, this is the best. You always seem to be in the thick of things. From the palapa restaurants to the kitsch shops, the casinos to the resorts, and from the discos to the drinking dens. It goes on for at least 4 miles. One can walk without having to cross traffic the whole time. Therein lies it's one problem in my opinion. It seems to be a common problem with the malecons we have seen here. The traffic along the road is way too busy to make it peaceful. Imagine 4 lanes of very noisy cars, buses, and enthusiastically musical taxis all competing for each others attention. It may not bother you. This malecon is a real treat and Mazatlan is a great beach town, not too uppity, not too corny. t is just the right mix of uppity and corny; something for everyone.
