“Nice to see - but not impressive”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Malecon and views from the city are nice – but I was not overly impressed. I rather go to the little market place at Playa Bruja more personality and price and places to eat.

“Invigorating and fun”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

A walk along the malecon serves many functions. It is a good exercise, especially if you pick up the pace. It has eccentric statutes to appreciate. If you are hungry, a spot of food stalls, which by the way is right in front of the rock divers. Last but not least, it is the spot to watch the sunset.

“Scary”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This was awesome to watch the cliff divers, but they expect you to pay to watch them. They will even follow you even though you gave the money to one jumper.

“Malecon somewhat disappointing”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

A bit disappointed compared to Puerto Vallarto. No accessibility
to beach as it is all rocks, missed the sand sculptures, mimes, etc.

“A lovely walk in mid day”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

The malecon is not as spruced up or commercial as that in Puerto Vallarta. Rather it is a seawall several kilometers long, above the beach. At the north end is the Zona Dorada, the gold tourist zone. At the south end is the fishermen's beach. About midway are several palapa-style seafood restaurants. A pleasant walk one can enjoy with a moderate onshore breeze keeping one from overheating.
