A walk along the Malecon should be on everyone's bucket list. There are several kilometres that you can walk, ride a bicycle, skateboard, etc. A great place to people watch, catch a lunch at one of the beach restaurants, or just to enjoy the atmosphere.

We walked on the malecon, which is basically a wide sidewalk along the beach, every morning either before or after breakfast. We walked on way on the beach and back on the malecon. It was also great for sunsets and the many statues along the way.

The Malecon is very long and if it is hot is can be best enjoyed hiring a driver of an open golf cart style that they call pulmonia. The best spot to swim with calm water is at the monument El Pescador.

Walked from the northern end almost all of the way to downtown. Stopped for a cold cerveza. Safe and pleasant with lots of families out and about.

I have been coming to Mazatlan for many years now and 1 of the things I love the most about this city is the art and culture. The Malecon is a prime example of this. I absolutely LOVE to walk the Malecon to take in the various sculptures. Some are really gorgeous and with the back drop of the beach and the pacific it makes it really special. Also for a different feel, try visiting it at nite
