Had another great trip to Mazatlan which involved many visits to Loco's Loco's. We just love the place and when you spend any time there at all you get to know the "family" that frequently congregates there. Many snowbirds visit on a daily basis and are very friendly. It's very collegial and you make friends there. We've included many new friends to our list as a result of this visit.

Now on to the food! Still excellent and cheap. We've raved previously about the full breakfasts for 50 pesos and the shrimp dinners for 100 pesos. This year my son tried the Molcajete and the Mexican Plate - both which he just raved about! Also, the Veal Milanese was an absolute highlight. Delicious. My older son said that the Coconut Shrimp was the best he's ever eaten (and he's a discriminating eater!) and the Mango Sauce that goes with it is just scrumptious!

We enjoyed New Years Eve here and had a great meal and a great night of fun! Dinner and all your drinks for 350 pesos. So much fun! And a great location to watch all the fireworks down the beach from.

The popularity of this place is really picking up. On many visits Loco's Loco's had many tables full whereas Tony's and Chili's Pepper only had one or two. Not that I want any Mazatlan business to suffer, cuz I really don't, but historically the other two have been very popular and Loco's Loco's was hardly known. They've done a great job building their business!

A good inexpensive beachfront restaurant. The breakfasts, in particular were a good value. Loved the tortilla soup!

Someone at the resort we stayed out recommended Loco's Loco's to us as we didn't want to do the touristy restaurants (e.g. Senor Frogs). It was an easy walk from Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan, so we decided to try it. The first night my friend and I shared a "mexican plate" and the steak and shrimp combo. Oh yum! The lady who had referred us was there at the same time, and she ordered red snapper. She got the WHOLE fish. It was a meal for two! Very friendly and exceptional service. You are right on the beach. The second night we went, there were "fire dancers" performing on the beach. Of course, they came through the restaurant for tips, which we gladly gave them. BTW, there is usually a "barker" out on the street trying to get you into the restaurant with a free drink. Guess what -- we found out that the first drink is free for anyone because they don't always know if someone was brought in by the barker or not.
