We stayed at Las Gavias and could see this outdoor restaurant from our suite. It always had music playing, so one day after suntaning we took a walk on the beach and stopped by. Great service, sat right on the sand at a table. Food was great, had the beef nachos, and oysters, and of course Pacifico beer! Highly recommended, and friendly. At dinner time the mariachi bands that walk the beach come up to serenade you! Usually around 4pm we heard them from the condo!

We came here on the advice of our taxi driver, and probably would have missed it entirely if we had just been walking by on the street.
The décor is open air under tarps, and we had a table by the beach, after sunset.
The food and service was good - My husband loves seafood, so quite enjoyed his meal. I'm not a seafood person, but was still able to enjoy the tortilla soup and chicken fajitas. Our complimentary appetizer was chips served with a tasty chipotle salsa and queso (which is somewhat like fine cottage cheese in texture).
Unfortunately, what made this dining experience highly unpleasant was that they permitted cigarette smoking right at the tables... even being outside, the breeze blowing it around was enough to trigger an asthma attack for me, and I was unable to finish eating my meal.
Also somewhat annoying were the vendors trying to sell stuff or coerce you into a timeshare presentation. There was a musician who went around to tables offering to play music (for a 50 peso fee per song).

We told our cab driver we wanted to go for seafood somewhere, and he recommended this place. We absolutley loved it!
The selection at this place was awesome, and all the food was so delicious! The menu is a bit hard to read, but you can rest assured that you will have a wonderful meal and experience, and the service was excellent.
Pricing is very reasonable: one of us got the "lobster" which was actually 2 lobsters all prepared and served with rice and veggie sides for about 200 pesos.
We were dining after dark and the weather was so mild and thesound of the water was so nice!
Before we left they made sure we had some Cervezas to go with us as we walked back to our resort along the beach!

The food is amazing fresh seafood. You can sit at a table on the beach while you eat. Vendors do come and go. But while we were there maybe 3 came and left when we said no thanks. No hassle at all. It was an awesome experience.

Lovely location on the beach, viewing Isla Pajaro and Isla Venedo. Pleasant, efficient service. Scrumptious tortilla soup, tasty squid "chicharon". We visited El Capitano for lunch and were very satisfied.
