The Water's Edge (Olas Altas 16, Mazatlan, Sinaloa, tel. 669-136-0895 in the Casa Lucila Boutique Hotel, thewatersedgemaz.com) it was almost dark. We had a nice time and the food was good. We had good service by Arturo at The Water's Edge. Alastair Porteous, Chef, came to the table to make sure everything was satisfactory (we like that). The Water’s Edge had a special Prawn Festival going on and Dimitri had the Prawn Festival Szechuan dinner (M$100) which he said was very good. Audre had the Crab Cake starter (M$80) and it was good. We had one beer (M$25) and 2 red wines (total M$75). For dessert we had one pastel (M$40). We spent M$320 plus tip and had a nice dinner (exchange rate M$13.10 = US$1)

We had Sunday breakfast at The Water’s Edge and really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is located inside a boutique hotel, and the decoration is very attractive. The view from the few inside tables or those outside is fantastic, taking in the entire Mazatlan coastline.

The breakfast menu (this may have been a special brunch menu for Sunday) is centered around omelets and Eggs Benedict. Nothing wrong with that. Everyone in our group of 4 ordered something different and we shared samples from each other’s plates. Not a bad choice in the bunch.

I would definitely enjoy coming back to try their lunch and dinner offerings.

The food and service at this bistro-styled restaurant were exemplary. We wanted to make an evening of it, and the staff cheerfully corrected our Spanish while respecting our desire to order a course at a time. The wine recommendation along with the fresh flavours and presentations of the roasted garlic appetizer, crab cake, and Tikka shrimp bowl made our meal memorable. Look for them in a new location closer to the Plaza Machado in September. Go!

The location is perfect, don't get me wrong but the map with TRIPADVISOR is wrong. It's about half a mile wrong it seems there are 2 no. 16 Olas Altas. We used to live about a mile from her and we didn't know it, so tell the taxi, it's by the statue of the motorcycle.
Now to business, they're moving but not soon. keep the faith, try the restaurant, it's well worth having to wander around lost to find it, the drinks are wonerful, the food is wonderful, the staff is amazing and the H&W team that run the place will chat you up and make you feel like family. Why not try it, I mean if you're in Mazatlan you have some adventure in you, and the salads are too big not to share.

The Water's Edge Contemporary Seaside Bistro is located within the Casa Lucila Boutique Hotel. A sophisticated menu in a charming setting. The service was excellent with the owner completely involved in the flow of food. The food was delicious and other than those that ordered steak, everyone loved their meal.
