The view is out of this world, we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets and Mazatlan has many. Service was outstanding ,our waiter took care or all our needs , was friiendy and knew what the menu presented.Lastly the food was outstanding ,loved the hot rolls which were presented in an eye catching manner and the entree was one of the best seafood soups we have ever tasted A real pleasure to dine here, will be back many times to enjoy this great restaurant.

If you have a craving for something other than Mexican food, do give this beautiful spot a try. We only went once because it was our last evening there. The view is spectacular, the service was best by far - the only place we were served ice water without having to ask, and food was fantastic! Try the crab cake served on a bed of fresh apples with a balsamic and citrus rim artfully decorating the crisp white china for a starter. Have a look at their menu (on line)before you head down. We sampled 3 shrimp dishes, two starters, shared a dessert, and a few cocktails, All were presented with careful thought and preparation. One classy establishment with a seaside view to match!

Wow - want to upscale your dining experience after many of the "Touristy" pubs and such?? -
the ambiance, menu, prices - this place is phenomenal in every way - all good

Dine on amazing flavours, soothed by live music played gently in the background, all while situated on a gorgeous sunset watch location on Olas Atlas - and English speaking waiters

All add up to one of the BEST places we dined while in Old Mazatlan Historical Centro - and beter than anything we found on the Golden Zone

When in Canada, we made our chef’s table reservation at the Water's Edge Restaurant to celebrate a dual birthday. It was a great success so we hoped to do it again.

Because we hadn’t been to the Water's dge in Mazatlan before, once we got settled we went there for breakfast twice to see how the establishment and food were before trying their chef’s table. The restaurant was beautiful but the food and service were a bit of a mixed bag. The first time we went for eggs benedict but that is only served for brunch on weekends, so we had eggs, hash browns, fabulous bacon and fresh orange juice. It was excellent and perfectly done. The only problem was the aloof waiter who treated us like we were bothering him just by showing up, but the location, view, food and everything else were perfect. The chef came over to our table and chatted with us about the chef’s table…that was a very nice touch. We decided to come back on the weekend and the same waiter was there once again. The service was lukewarm at best and our eggs benedict were under-seasoned and bland, but the eggs themselves were cooked perfectly. The coffee was very good, with real cream. Most cream in Mexico is just condensed milk. YUCK! So, having experienced a bit of ‘good’ and a bit ‘bad’, we didn’t know exactly what to expect for our special night. Slightly worried, we went back on the night of the birthday, wishing for the best. It started out great, with a sweet little waiter who went above and beyond our expectations during the whole evening. We were seated at their best table and found him to be the most outstanding waiter of our entire trip. He was wonderful. I couldn’t have been happier with his service. The evening was fun-filled with live music and a great selection of wonderful wine. We got to meet the Spanish guitar player who spent some time chatting with us…very entertaining. We gave the food a 7 out of 10 because we again ran into under-seasoned blandness, but my favorite part of the meal was the dessert, a beautiful crème brulee! Wonderful Spanish coffees finished off our meal and the staff came out to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ with a little lit cake. It was the perfect touch. We spent time chatting with the chef and Nancy, which ended our memorable night on a high note. The birthday girl was thrilled with the whole evening, so we were happy, too, because it was all for her.

So thanks, Water's Edge, for helping us to celebrate two birthdays in style.
