“An oasis of serene wonder”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

Situated in the heart of old town Mazatlan, this gift shop, coffeehouse, and meeting place is a quiet oasis filled with wonderful authentic crafts from around Mexico. I have been a fan from day 1, and have made a point of visiting it every season. I never leave without buying a gift that is always appreciated!
Helena and Miguel are the congenial proprietors. They feature artwork from local artists, including acclaimed wildlife photographer Alwin van der Heiden.

“Wonderful place to shop”
Reviewed April 5, 2014 via mobile

From the friendly owners to the great selection of arts and crafts in the shop this is definitely a go to place. The shop is not really large but it is packed with very nice and reasonably priced gifts.

“A treasure trove of fine Mexican crafts”
Reviewed March 20, 2014

On our last day in Mazatlan we found Casa Etnika and had a wonderful time browsing the merchandise and chatting with the owner about his wares. He is very knowledgeable about the various crafts from different areas of Mexico and has stocked his shop with fine examples. He was very helpful assisting us in choosing mementos - a fine handwoven table runner, a charming hummingbird mobile and a dancer mobile made of acacia thorns. All were carefully packed up for travel but unfortunately one of the items was slightly damaged when it was packed. They were very quick to reply to my email when we got home. A replacement part (hummingbird wing feather) is being sent. With this attention to customer service I can't recommend Casa Etnika highly enough - 10++++ stars.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

Based on TA reviews we made a special trip to this shop, we should have looked more carefully at the views . There is nothing. Special about this shop in terms of atmosphere, mechandise quality or selection.
We visited two other shops in old town of similar ilk which were vastly superior as well as one on the Golden Zone. The staff of the store were very nice and pleasant servers.

“OMG Art, Jewelery and more!”
Reviewed December 7, 2013

Helena and Miguel have the eye for selecting the most exquisite jewelery, clothes and unique art while supporting the artists from around Mexico. Their selections are displayed in one of the oldest grand Casa's in MZT! You made my shopping and trip so much fun!
