“A pleasant restaurant”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Pedro & Lola's restaurant is situated right on the Plazuela Machado. Ideally located for watching al the people thronging round the market stalls. Be warned though the chairs are very uncomfortable. My friend had to sit on her pashmina to stop the seat chaffing her leg.
Waiting staff are extremely friendly and speak a number of languages.
The menu has a fair choice of food.
We ordered fillet mignon and black peppered steak - both were very nice - served with half a baked potato and carrots and green beans.
Would we eat there again? Most probably not.

“Relax and enjoy....”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

We had a lovely dinner last week at Pedro & Lola's. I enjoy a Martini before dinner and it was served to perfection. I was impressed that our server when asked for his recommendation did not suggest a more expensive item on the menu, but rather a dish that did turn out to be very satisfying (tuna with shrimp). Additionally, although our server initially forgot to bring us our appetizer of sautéed mushrooms (to err is human), he did remember the order later and kindly, and appropriately compted us the item (to forgive devine). I will remember Pedro & Lola's with affection, have no reservation recommending this destination to friends and family, and look forward to my next delicious meal on the Plaza Machado under the stars.

“Great food and good service, but beware”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

The location is very nice, sitting on the Machado, under the stars and palm trees, selection on the menu was very wide, what four of us had was delicious, the service was good, HOWEVER, although they say they take credit cards, when it comes time to pay, their machine doesn't work. Had this happen other places too. Take cash!

“Nothing Special Except the Location!”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

We ate there on a recent Friday evening prior to going to an event at the Theatre close by.

We sat outside and enjoyed watching the people strolling around the Plaza Machado. We were not given the option of being inside maybe because it appeared to be set up for a large party. There was also no music that evening which was disappointing. Perhaps that was later - we were there only until 8pm.

The food was OK but not special at all and I wonder if this restaurant is resting on past laurels . It was much busier than other restaurants also circling the Plaza but, next time, we'll try one of those.

“Great food and fun”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We ate here last week and had a great time. Our server was charming and funny plus extremely efficient. I had the ahi tuna which was absolutely delicious, but not sure why it was served on noodles. My husband ad the fajitas which he also proclaimed tasty. They have a wine list but the server said he'd only bring us the bottles he had available. Price was more reasonable than Casa Canobbio.
