“Spectacular food with fresh delicious ingredients!”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

We had the most delicious, mouthwatering meal. As there were three in our party (and quite the foodies, too), we decided to share some starters and entrees to try different things. We began with an octopus carpaccio, incredibly fresh and tasty, and a shrimp bruschetta with alioli and basil, also amazing. After that, we shared the following: swordfish with a combination of olives, basil, cherry tomatoes, orange rind, and capers, an Amalfi inspired combination - the fish was cooked to perfection and the combination of ingredients was just right; a saffron risotto with ox tail, mouthwatering and such a heavenly taste!!!; country pate with Dijon mustard and the most amazing country bread, as good as that of any European bakery.
To finish our meal, a sticky toffee and a chocolate fondant. How do I even begin describing how delicious they were? Hector, the chef, really knows how to take care of his clients. I will definitely be coming back to try each season's menu.

“Simple, and amazing”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Crazy good ingredients, perfectly prepared. We had a chicken sandwich and a hamburger for lunch. No big whoop, right? Except the chicken was so perfectly cooked, with shaved parmesan on bread that was freaking DELICIOUS. And a little simple green salad that I'm not sure why it was amazing but it was. The little new potatoes that came with hubby's burger were so well seasoned. We're hoping to make it back to try some of their other items.

“Maybe the Best Restaurant in Mazatlan”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Molika is where people who like perfect food go. It's not necessarily the prettiest or trendiest-looking, but the food is something you can't get anywhere else in Mazatlan. Everything I've had there in my five visits has been perfect - whether pickled prawns, swordfish steak or duck. The wines are delicious (I prefer reds but have a hard time passing up the sauvignon blanc there), the desserts - like flourless chocolate cake and sticky toffee - can't be missed. The menu is more international, European maybe, than Mexican, but everything is fresh, and everything is cooked exactly as it should be. If you're a foodie, or even just pretend to be one, you can't miss Molika. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, they have their own bakery, which is hands down the best bakery in Mazatlan - be sure to take a loaf of cranberry walnut bread home for breakfast the next morning.
