It is still on Olas Altas and still good as ever. Prices are very reasonable, portions are large and food is flavourful. I still think this is more of a lunch place as it does not have atmosphere of some of the other restaurants in Mazatlan on Plaza Machado or the water front.

Our wonderful guide Sheila recommended La Cueva for lunch with
the stuffed chiles as her favourite and rightfully a great recommendation. We came back for the Huevos Rancheros search and it was good too. We loved taking our capps in copas for a detour
to these side restaurants ... best of both worlds; someone's great coffee served with someone else's great breakfast.

We had dinner here on our 4th day in Mazatlan. A nice spot to watch the sunsets. The food was good as was the service. We ate inside because it was windy that night but the view from inside looking out to the red sky was beautiful. I had the coconut shrimp which was good. We would go again.

My friend and I had the grilled portobello with marlin and capers, along with the tortilla soup.
All was seasoned to perfection, the mushroom was breaded and grilled and the soup wasn't overly salted but rich in flavor. We watched the sun setting from the sheltered interior, it was windy outdoors. Can't wait to go again!
